Yuma Regional Medical Center Emergency Department

The nurse practitioner was very rude and condescending. I was having extreme pain in my right kidney area. It felt like when I herniated discs, and I told her that. She said then there is no need for labwork, right? I had to beg for a ct scan. She said that it showed only degeneration and to live with it. I have had 3 surgeries on my back and live with pain every day. This pain was a 10, through the roof. She made me feel like I was wasting her time. There were a few people in the hall area, but no one answered the call button. I limped into the hall looking for a bathroom. They pointed to a door and went on their way. I gave two stars because there was one person who came in who seemed genuinely concerned for me. Too bad she wasn't in charge.

I wish I could give lower than a 1. I was in this er twice in one day totaling 18 hours. They did every exam including lady exams they could and told me it is just the pain of passing kidney stones. The second time I hardly got meds for pain, I had no water or blankets and the room was freezing they never introduced themselves. The ct team were the ones who got me warm blankets not the nurse team. By the time I was leaving I was still in extreme pain and the dr said we have done every test you are just passing a stone we can’t do anything else for you. And sent me home still crying and keeled over in pain. I tried to tough it out for a day and ended up going to exceptional health were the dr listened to me and he diagnosed me in 3 minutes. Put me on the meds I needed and 24 hours later I am already feeling better then I had. Yuma medical missed an easy diagnosis because they did not listen to me.

They diagnosed my baby when no one else could. We in a room fairly quickly, too. Nice Healthcare workers, as well. Was offered crackers and water while waiting.

This visit was great. Just didn't have the time to give a detailed meaning of my blood work and test results. Or really consult me on what to do to improve my results

Waited 5hrs to get into room. Nurse installed wrong catheter when day shift nurse came in she removed blockage and installed 3 way catheter and got me fixed up. Day shift was very competent but it took 12hrs to get me going.

Very poor service! Unfortunately you are forced to receive that or no service at all in this area.

I din't have to wait a lot. The nurses and the doctors were very sweet and experienced.

Excellent care. Dr. Luvato. Had EKG within 5 minutes of entry as I had chest pains. Very pleased with my care! Thank you ER people.

The worst hospital in existence.people come here because we rely on these doctors and nurses to help and listen to what we are feeling or going through and I went in and waited for about 2 hours just for them to put me in a room for another 2 hours for me telling them my ribs hurt and they keep diagnosing me with chest pain? I kept telling them multiple times my chest doesn't hurt its my ribs and they kept wasting my time to just keep having them diagnose me with chest pain. People come here and honestly just the wait alone is gonna get people killed one day, they should fire EVERYONE and hire staff that ACTUALLY CARES.

No attempt was ever made to control my pain or nausea until I demanded it. I came in in the middle of the night passing a kidney stone. There was no wait, but once inside, I waited a long time alone in a room (in extreme pain) for someone to draw my blood and install an IV line. Once in a room, I was not given anything to call a nurse if I needed help. After a while I yelled "hello" multiple times until a nurse came to see what I needed. I told him I was very cold, in extreme pain, and was very nauseous. Although I had an IV, this abusive nurse injected me in both arms and right thigh to control my pain and nausea. No urologist on staff, so this was a waste of time and money. I ended up having to go to Phoenix to see one. Based on this terrible experience I can honestly say THIS HOSPITAL IS ABSOLUTE TRASH. Shame on the staff and the people who run this place. Plus, they provoked a blood clot where they placed the IV line which was never used after drawing my blood. Now I have to seek treatment for this with a cardiologist and take life threatening blood thinners indefinitely. Thanks for nothing!

Horrible experience! I'm not from the area but I had to bring my mom here and they took so long-which is understandable for an ER but they wouldn't even come check on her. They placed us in a room and my mother didn't see a provider until 3 hours after waiting inside the room (this is after waiting 2/3 hours in the waiting area). The nurse came in ONCE after that we didn't see her anymore. She was giving us attitude like it was our fault for asking her for blankets and other stuff. My mother didn't get any medications until 4/5 hours after waiting inside the room. As a current healthcare employee I understand that there's a constant time constraint, however, I personally felt that none of the hospital employees cared for my mother as their patient and I think all patients deserve quality healthcare.

Came in with a sick child they had her in back in a room within 10 mins. Nurses and Dr were amazing. If I could give more stars I would. I can't say enough how great the whole experience was. Thank you so much for the care you have my granddaughter.

It was a little bit of a wait, but was very efficient. The doctor was very pleasant. Best emergency room I have been to in years. 5 stars!

Do not go here. They had the wrong illness on my chart and treated me for chest pain when I said I had vertigo. It’s a money grab for snowbirds that need an ER. I have had vertigo before and told them. They charged 8,000. I filed a report with patient advocate and they sent a letter saying all the testing was needed. I have the paperwork saying they did the tests because chest pain was the reason for visit. They lie. I’m getting a lawyer.

My dad is a cardiac patient and was brought in by ambulance. Waited for hours without even getting his vitals check. I was told he was the only one on the "emergency" side of the waiting list and still waited for hours.
