First time on a fishing boat and decided to go with the Monte Carlo. Went with some friends who also have never been and some who have. As soon as the boat took off, Harlan, one of the crew members, introduced himself to our group and really made us feel welcome and even more excited for the trip. There was a little issue when we ordered our breakfast and I’m gonna blame that on the fact that we had ordered 6 or 7 items using the same bag number but Harlan made it up to us and was super hospitable.

Overall the experience was great especially because going into it, I was terrified of the open water and being that far off land. I wish I got everyone else’s name but the rest of the crew made it a really fun time and I honestly can’t wait to go and do it again.

Freedom baby. They can’t come more recommended. Crews awesome and catching fish is what they’re good at. Thanks for helping landing that 40 lb.bluefin tuna.

My friends and I’ve been customers for years. We had reservations for a full day trip (9/23). We reserved the trip on Pursuit about three weeks ago. We even had to ask to have our work off. And a day before, they called and canceled the trip due to their double booking (they chartered the boat out). It was very disappointing.

I really had a bad experience on the Monte Carlo, I took my kids & thier friends to have a great time a party of 16 people, I knew that the best spot to fish was on the end of the boat, so we got their really early so we could get a really good spot & I did not wanted to heard complaints about the kids getting the lines tangle. That was the purpose of been early. My understanding was firts come firts serve to the spot u desire. So we end up getting the entired back for my party. A crew member a black African guy wanted my group to move out, saying that the captain said. It was very inconvenient & liening to my face about something that was not true. Other people wanted our spot but to be honest u Can Not Reserve any Spots. The other crew where nice & helpful even they told us we have the right not to move out.but this black guy came to us 3 times trying to make me look stupid & move us out.

Avoid this charter company at all costs! They are the worst in the business. They cram their boats with more than 100% capacity, as we experienced with 80 people on a boat meant for 45. During the supposed 2 hours of fishing, half the time is wasted on untangling lines. Not to mention, the boat departs after time and returns before the designated time, effectively giving you only 2 hours of actual fishing during a 6-hour trip. Save your money and time and steer clear of this disappointment.

Had a wonderful time, the first fishing trip a month ago, hence 4 - star. However, this weekend's recent trip on the Monte Carlo (6am - noon) was not worth it. The crew is lazy compared to the first crew (I'll have to update that boats name), and one of the deck hands was super rude. On a positive note: the cook (female) was super cool / friendly.

Great location
Horrible service by waiter the hostesses were very good
Food is ok not as good as it could re the presentation and flavours
For example the stock of the Cioppino lacked flavour however the seafood was cooked perfectly

Expensive boat rides! With ghetto people that will steal your fish, rob your tackle box, overcharge you on fish cleaning.
When your out on the boat expect your vehicle to get broken into.
Don't buy the ice.it's $10.00 for 3 lbs.

I haven't been fishing in about twenty years and I was very unsure of what I needed as far as equipment But when I spoke with the people there. They were very friendly, very courteous, very informative

Great fishing day on the Monte Carlo! Knowledgeable and friendly skipper and deckhands. Will be sure to go again in the near future

If you can overcome seasickness, fishing here would be a great choice. The steps will make sashimi from the fish we caught.

The Pursuit is the WORST fishing experience I've ever had. Never going on this boat again.

Fishing: I caught five groupers and a Belinda, but many others caught nothing. Maybe five bass, two barracuda, and two sheephead and that's it. For 37 anglers! Three hours each way and $125 for fish I could have caught on a half day boat. The captain kept blaming the seals and conditions, but it was so dead I wondered if he just didn't know how to put us on fish. Other people were actually praising me for the amount of fish I caught, when that amount of fish for an all day trip is an embarrassment for me.

Crew: One of the deckhands (named Jordan) took my rod, confidently said, "Let's get you a bass, " and then proceeded to lose the bait. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure you have to keep the bait on the hook to catch fish. He insisted he was just trying to help, but he didn't offer to fish for anyone else. The one thing different about me and the other anglers? I'm a woman. Yep. I love a healthy dose of sexism with my fishing. He should have helped other people since many fishermen ended the day with nothing in their bags.

Food: The food was good and the cook (Albert) was nice. However, they had a really limited menu. Only burgers for lunch, so if you're not into that, then bring your own food.

Overall, this boat soured me on the entire 22nd St Landing itself. I know you won't always catch something when you go out, but even on slow days other boats I've been on were still a good time because everyone (captain, crew, and other passengers) just had good vibes. This boat just had bad juju the whole day and I hated it. Maybe the other boats out of this landing are good, but the Pursuit was a certified dud.
