This place is doing everything they can to stay open and have enough equipment for people while abiding the rules. If you go, please wear your mask so the place doesn't have to shut down.

It's obvious this location wants to stay open. Safety & disinfectant precautions are taken. Sanitation protocol followed and employees encourage fellow fitness-ers to do the same.

So what's your desire? Hoist, Cybex, Hammer Srength, Rox, Free weights, Eleiko, group classes, treadmills, elliptical.and more.

Staff remembers your name, greets you with a smile and no pressures for personal training. Check-in is fast, members respect time limitations, members workout and don't linger on machines.

Enjoyable space for fitness. Outdoor space for lunges and other exercises.

Great gym I would like to see tanning offered and hydro massage beds like chuze and planet fitness have for their members

Good gym. Having a pool is a plus. It can be packed and recently they changed opening times it’s not longer 24 hours.

24 hour fitness should know better than to put another clubs pictures for the new location. Most of if not all photos are from the PQ location NOT the Carmel Mntn location.

Great facility with nice outdoor areas for basketball and dynamic training! Best 24 hour fitness that I have been to.

I took multiple classes with a female personal trainer here. I feel completely disappointed. What a waste of money. Anyone with half a brain is better off learning how to workout on their own.

Small, hot and it stinks. It’s always so hot and all you can smell is sweat. It’s so packed that there’s no room to work out. It’s nothing like other Sport gyms I’ve been to. I wouldn’t use it if there was a decent gym nearby. It’s like night and day from Santee.

Very disappointed in 24 hour fitness Penasquitos - I am part of an aqua class of about 40 members and we are all disappointed in the response/attitude of the new 24 hours fitness general manager (he’s been there 4 to 6 months) in handling the lack of instructors for aqua classes. In the past, 24 hour fitness had offered 6 aqua classes per week and over a 2 to 3 year period it became 5 then 4 then 3 and now since he took over just 2.

In the past 15 to 20 years, when an instructor didn’t show for a class, it was our custom to work out together. This practice was stopped for the first time by this new manager with threats of loss of membership if anyone tried to lead our class, or if we just workout together. He continued sending employees to convey the same message until people stopped coming on Monday’s or switched to other clubs with less friction.

Management says it’s for safety reasons but when individuals are swimming by themselves there are no lifeguards as for me I feel safer in the pool when I have 20 to 30 people working out with me. In the past when we had 6 classes, 2 of the classes where led by a member of the class and not a trainer supplied by 24 Hour fitness.

24 hour fitness has advised us that they are unable to locate instructors with lifeguard certification, but as we have found out, 24 hour is the only club or part of only a few clubs that require lifeguard certification. We are told the certification process takes 20 to 30 hours of instruction and testing and not many instructors are willing to spend the time and effort to complete it.

I have been going to this gym for years. It’s got a steam room, sauna pool and jacuzzi. The staff is very friendly. Nice outdoor facilities. Parking it’s ample but fills up pretty quickly so it can be hard to find a good sport to park at. It’s got to be one of my favorite non super sport locations because the amenities are so ample but the gym itself is not too crowded, unless it’s the first week of January lol.

I have been to many 24 hr fitness locations over the years and this oen is likely the worst. It is oversubscribed and extremely crowded. You will usually have to wait to use most of the popular weight machines during mornings, noon and evening. The bathrooms are dirty and parking situation in the lot is terrible.

Your website busy time schedule should be updated to live. Went in when it was supposed to be empty and it was packed. I could not get on a squat rack. Very disappointing and the gym stunk!

I recently started coming to this 24 hour location instead of the one closer to my work. The staff is very friendly, the machines are clean, and this one has an outdoor facility! A lot more options for work outs compared to some of the other locations I have been to.

Advantages:

- Majority of the staff representatives are friendly
- Plenty of equipment for the various type of exercises
- Several workout spaces (indoors: lower and upper level & shaded outdoors for weight training to include a basketball court)

Disadvantages:

- Challenging in finding parking
- Packed in like sardines; excessively crowded
- Room temperature can be uncomfortably hot
- A few gym equipment are outdated
- Gym equipment, such as weight, not stowed, staff needs to enforce policy and safety

However, it's worth mentioning that by the end of the day, if you put forth the effort, this gym gets the job done.

Odd experience with this company. We frequent this plaza often. I jog by it occasionally. Stopped in 2x for a tour, both times I forgot to bring my photo id. I just don't carry it when I'm running. Both times they refused to show me the property without my ID. Annoyed but not disgruntled or anything, policy is policy. 3rd time I brought my ID and thought the place looked decent. The machines are in decent shape and appear clean. People were friendly and the place wasn't too crowded. It worried me that the wall fans and ventilation ducks had massive amounts of dust, (possibly mold) and debris on them. We're breathing all that junk. The amount of dust buildup was impressive. The next day when I came in they were cleaning them so that was great to see. I did a good work out and left happy. Tonight I am trying to take advantage of the enrollment promo which was supposed to be (as explained to me twice (2 different staff), no initiation fee and $33/mos with a 12 month commitment OR no initiation fee and $37/mo on a monthly basis. When signing up, the 12 month commitment offer was there, but the initiation fee is not waived if you want to pay the higher per month rate of $37 for a short term month to month contract AND the best part is that on all options they tack on another $50 ANNUAL fee in addition to the joining fee and monthly rate. That was just to much trickery from me. I'll go somewhere else.

HORRIBLE! Stay away! I walked in yesterday to try to join quickly and get a workout done quickly. I wanted to simply _see_ the facility. I wanted to know what weight machines were available. I was asked to sign a waiver, which I did. The desk attendant knew I was in a hurry, yet forced me to wait at the desk more than 10 minutes _without_ even letting me see what weight machines were available. After a full 10 minute wait I took 3 steps towards the back, just to try to see what weight machines were there. The attendant called my name, and told me not to go there. Understand- I was there to _give money_ to 24 hr fitness by joining.and they wouldn’t even allow me to look at the gym! Pathetic! I immediately went down the street to LA Fitness and joined there where people were nice, prompt and allowed me to see the facility immediately. Also, LA Fitness is a _much_ nicer place. Not looking back at 24 hr fitness. Pathetically bad.

Drove over 8 hours from where im stationed to use the sauna at this gym after being told I would be allowed to get a guest pass at any time. Showed up at 3 am to be turned away and screwed for my weigh ins at 9am. Terrible customer service.

I been coming here for past 20 years, after taking a break from gym for a year I came back to sign for membership which I was asked to pay taxes and first and last month plus initiation fee. 3 months later today Feb 19,2019 I co.e check in to gym I'm being told Meghan (front desk namager) i have annual fee past dues 6 days and I must pay today or cant not workout I try telling her I just paid their monthly due like I was told and I was never told about the $49.99 annual fee I need to tall to sales manager she refused that request, and start making fun of my accent kept making me repeat my self in front of other gym members, AND KEPT MISPRONOUNCING MY LAST NAME AFTER 3 TIMES I TOLD HER HOW ITS PRONOUNCED. I BEEN IN USA SINCE I WAS 9YRS OLD, SHE IS THE MOST RUDE, RACIST PERSON I EVER HAD TO ENCOUNTER. She demanded either i pay right now or can not access the club as I kept explaining to her that I just paid my month due but I have questions about the annual fee which she refused to answer or help me understand.i have been coming here been paying my bill on time with autopay.only issue for was I never ither I have to pay the annual fee I feel like I was scammed by not being told up front or to at least talk to the sale person while sold me the plan why she failed to never mention that but MEGHAN (Front dest manager) was being super rude and disrespectful to me in front of other gym members there yelling at me if I had stolen something. All I asked her was let me talk to sales manager or someone higher thn her and if I have to pay this that's fine but I'd like talk to sale's manager first why I wasnt told abou the fee at first. The front desk manager is very rude very disrespectful VERY RACIST should never work anywhere in front desk anywhere representing and being the face of ANY company when you walk and be greeted with such a rude AND RACIST PERSON. She would not even let me talk to anybody nor let me pass the desk unless I paid the $49.99 annual fee. Nobody should be treated like that by their gym stuff like I was this morning with most disrespect.

Usually not too busy to get a workout in. Often shortage of squat rack. Maybe replace some of the bikes upstairs.
