24 Hour Fitness, San Diego CA

This gym is spacious, with a wonderful variety of equipment, so I never had to wait for any machine or props. The large studio has wood floor and huge mirrors, which I liked for floor exercise. Nice vibe, youngish, enthusiastic, people seem to enjoy their time their. I stayed in San Diego for a month, and could arrange for one-month membership, in a reasonable price. The pool is nice, clean and just the right temp. On the down side - showers and locker room are not clean, and shabby.

Empress has the worst customer service skills I tried to sign up for 24hr and she was so rude and i ended up signing up to another gym

Dirty, no one re-racks, dumbells are scattered everywhere, no one wipes down equipment after use, staff doesn't care or enforce basic rules.

My first time at this gym was yesterday and it wasn't bad. The staff seems pretty cool too. Most of the people were in the free weights area as if there was a big meeting over there but the machines were clean. I don't really care about the age of the machines as long as they do what I need them to do.
I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 due to the music from the overhead, LOL.plus I forgot my headset at home

It’s a cheap public gym near SouthEast. The people at the front desk are saints for dealing with the people coming through here. Be humble, shower at home, and hit the sauna to eavesdrop on the older homies telling stories. If you expect any kind of luxury experience you’re out of your mind.

Steam room closes at 9pm when gym is open 24hrs?

***Steam room should be open untill 11pm or12am for sure.

Place is jammed packed from 4pm till 10pm. So alot of members like me try to go at 9: 30pm then hit steam at 10: 15 or so.

The Sauna is open but it is not even close to the same experience. It is very crowded & takes 20+ minutes to even begin to sweat.
Vs. Steam which takes 3min to begin to sweat.out in 6 minutes.

Management please consider my request. I am not alone. There are many people who feel the same way.

Feven and Carmello were so nice. They’re customer service was way better than the one on avocado. Will definitely come back here again!

Love the Atmosphere.the regulars and visitors always make this place a Great environment to wake up everyday and workout! Some people need to learn to clean after using and put the weights back. Come visit us at this 24hr Fitness and you will see what I am saying

I like the gym a lot but the Men's showers are not really happening. They keep repairing them and they get worse. Some of the machines need some attention like broken foot straps on the bikes on the clunking sit up machine in the center. I love the employees though. They're really great and friendly.

I have to say out of all the 24 hour fitness this is hands down the DIRTIEST! Starting with the steam room plastic bottles were on the ground, and walls and floors were visibly dirty I was disgusted. The equipment is not well maintained most of the equipment is breaking down and outdated overall did not like this gym. Don’t get me wrong before the pandemic I use to come and it was in no way this badly taken care of.

The worst customer service ever.
I have came for membership cancelation. One of the staff here has check out for me and yes everything is done. I don't have to do anything. It needs 7 business days to get the refund back. 2 weeks after I don't see anything happens I have came to ask again but they said my account is still active. I have requested to cancel again but they said they cahave to deduct 1 months because of I'm late for a mornh. And I have told them I came here 2 weeks ago but ypu didn't do it for me and I received any email about it. And they have yelled at me and tell me why I don't come to the place I have registered to cancel but come to this location l. While I have asked them could i cancel it here or do I need any documents for that. But they said NO.
And they make me feel like I'm a bad person trying to theft so steal something from them. They still do a refund for me after a long talk. I feel being insult. I have registered for the membershipand I come to ask for help but they have treated me like a theft or crimial and yelling at me. I'm frustrated and feel so upset. I have even cried an hour in my car because feeling disrespected.
IIF YOU GUY COME HERE AND ASK FOR ANY SERVICE. PLEASE ASK THE CONFIRMATION AND STAFF NAME ORTHEY WILL SAY THEY DON'T KNOW AND REFUSE ANY RESPONSIBILITY If you don't have it.

The worst gym i have ever been to.the men are so degrading, disgusting, and weird.it is full of men who can’t focus on their own workout.i have never cancelled a membership faster in my life.will never come back again and i advise that you don’t either.

Never been but from what i can see there parking is terrible considering there aee a few bussiness sharing the same parking lot

Great location, but someone please fix the dry Sauna room door! It doesn't completely seal and thus you are able to feel cold air if you stand next to the door.

Legitimately the dirtiest gym I've ever been in, including ones in urban public schools. I joined because it's near and cheap, and I'll continue attending due to that, but truth is if any other gym opens nearby that's at the same price point it'll put them out of business.

All the equipment is pretty worn, I'd try to ignore that if it wasn't also dirty, and I mean everywhere, the machines, the floors, there was literally fecal matter all over 2/3 bathroom stalls my first day there, it was still that way hours later.

Wanna find a matching set of plates or dumbbells? Good luck. Same can go for literally ANY integer lower weight plate like 2.5 or 5lbs for slowly increasing a lift. And truth is, I can't blame the other patrons for not caring enough to properly re-rack, the employees certainly don't care to tidy up and re-rack things.

A lot of this is what's expected when you join a commercial gym chain gym, but, yikes.

On the plus side since all the employees seem to be bad at their jobs at least you don't have to worry about them trying to shill things at you at the front counter.

This gym has got a lot to offer. I love that we can bring 2 buddies. We make fitness a family affair because of that deal. Pool area gets crowded and the dry sauna stinks. I just killed a roach. Eww.

I was thinking of switching gyms and going to this 24 hour gym but it seems you people are not listening to your clients that keep you in business.
Why don’t you listen to the reviews and fix the problems, like dirty bathrooms and showers; easy fix.
I’ve never read so many bad reviews on cleanliness!
What’s the problem? Fix these simple issues and keep your paying clients happy.
I’ll wait for better reviews.

Standard fare 24hr sport with wet/dry sauna, pool, jacuzzi, aerobic room, weights, machines, ext.

Drawback: the pool and shower area could use a bit more thorough of a regular cleaning (would be greatly appreciated, 24.)

Other than that, the patrons are friendly enough and the staff has been welcoming
