24 Hour Fitness, Walnut Creek CA

Never any parking. Clients are rude, awful, dirty, and disrespectful. Some staff members are cool. Equipment is old and run down. Free weight area is a mess. Can never find paper towels, spray, or hand sanitizer. This gym needs some major TLC. I can’t wait until my Year membership is up. I completely regret buying the full year. Really disappointing.

Clean. Excellent customer/team member service and I lost my keys that were returned! Walnut Creek is an honorable city.

This location is my favorite, I love all the front desk workers so much- all really great people.seems like the manager Mike may have some problems, though.yelling at employees out in the open- and while I’m sure it’s tough being in charge, I know a lot of well-trained managers would agree that should not be happening. I would not want to work for him.

No parking ever, way too crowded and I’ve never seen the dumbbells in the correct order. Horrible gym

Tbh people needed to be disciplined more in this gym. I saw the staff reorganizing the weight in their spots. I saw them do that and after one day. It was chaos the next day. 110lbs dumbbells are between 5 and 10lbs. I mean come one have some respect for the staff please.

Classes seem to get canceled and no subs to take their place. Very frustrating when your paying for classes and you don’t get them!

I like this location, it is cleaner, more light and water in the pool is better quality compared to other gyms in the area + tight rowing machines. While I noticed that people who go to this location are more stressed somehow, I like this locations for self-workouts.

They had me sign up for a free 3 day trail and then wouldn't let me in the second day, lol. Guy at the front desk was extremely rude, won't be coming back here.

RE Gym: . All the weights are disorganized and there are 4 employees at the front socializing and trying to hustle people for memberships.

The Walnut Creek location sucks. The majority of the cardio equipment is broken, there are not enough weights and parking is minimal.

I watched brook pick up all the weights on the floor in the gym today for 15-30 minutes. The clients here are some of the most disrespectful I’ve ever encountered in a gym. They leave water bottles, used paper towels and weights EVERYWHERE. It’s like I’m working out with a bunch of people who were never taught the most basic of manners. As far as the staff goes I only go in the morning but it’s a disaster every time I go in till brook or Jack show up and clean the entire place by themselves. When I go into a gym I expect the people working there to have the same passion as I do for working out. None of the staff here looks like they have ever picked up a weight except for brook. If you’re a extreme casual workout person then this gym might not bother you like it does me. But if you’re passionate about weightlifting/running/yoga or just staying in shape this gym might actually make you angry when you walk in.

Please don't trust the sales person in 24 hr fitness. I started the membership and they asked me to pay first month and last month at the beginning. The sales told me that I can cancel any time and get the refund. But when I tried to cancel the 2nd month membership before the month starts, I was told that I cannot get any refund for the 2nd month.

Been going to the super sport since it opened and clearly you cant have nice things. No more towels because cant trust anyone with towels. Bathroom stalls are destroyed. Dudes are hilariously adamant about wearing smelly sneakers in the sauna. 10% of the machines and treadmills are permanently out of order. Freeweights are a disaster. Plates are all on the sled for that guy leg pressing a quarter range of motion. Everyone's talking to their internet friends on their phone and act confused why you'd say hi to them. Staff's more or less paid to observe and call the cops if it gets too bad. Anything else they aren't doing anything.

Basketball gym is closed early because of a situation that happened at a gym 30minutes away is ridiculous! If it happened in the weight room would the weight room be closed!?

Haven't been in this place in a long time but it's best up. Weights are all over the place. Mats are beat up. I know times are tough but this place needs an upgrade

My fiancé gets a new job a mile from this club. We are going to do the trial pass to see the foot traffic with the intention of buying a year membership. The front desk girl looks at us and says if you don’t live three miles from this club your passes are not valid. We live 5.1 miles away, btw. No greeting no hello just said we should try Concord because it’s our local. I commute to the city. She works a mile from the club. We both make good money. And we get singled out like we are trying to pull one over. It was disgusting. And honestly I may still go get a membership because of the convenience but I have never felt so unwelcome at a business in my life.

It's okay is just right. Reasons:
1. I feel there are not enough weights around for the number of users, the upstairs area is bare of weights. I think it's a small ask to put weights there for other users.
1.b You have to download an app to sign up classes but app is restricted to US based app store only. I updated mine to US and can't download app and can't sign up for class. VERY ANNOYING - just use a site!
2. In the major machine areas, hardly anyone has the courtesy to put the weights back off the machine. It matters to me as a petite frame person who can't lift $50lb plate diagonally upward to unload the machine. It's super uncourtesous and dumb to not use the opportunity to carry that weight. Best part is people leaving the weight by the weight rack and not on the weight rack.
3. The machines are super close in the back area which maybe due to the pandemic, I am a bit putoff with.
4. Machines have exposed grease on the handle corners (not sure why).
5. I joined in early Feb/March 2022, was suppose to get a session with the fitness manager. He had a major set back health wise. We are now in May 2022 and we'll they have not hired a replacement and I never got a call. If you ask the front desk reception, they have no idea when he will be back or at times just give my that dumbfounded look. Most annoying is to date, no call from anyone to bother to reshedule or anything of that sort.
6. So many employees around, none actually on the floors. I would expect some level of surveillance just for safety and clean up. I have never seen an employee anywhere but front desk which is a hangout vs reception. I don't care, hangout but the other day, there was guy doing these weird dumbell pushes and he would fling dumbells outward and they would fly off almost hitting the weight stand and walking path for people. I would expect some level of surveillance just to stop these kind of people from hurting others.
7. They need to upgrade the toilets and change up some of the machines.
Longest review ever written but overall this is worth only 3 stars, is staffed at a 3 star level and attended by people like me (3 star). Will have to up my game.v
