24 Hour Fitness, Chula Vista CA

Not the place to go if you’re looking to start getting in shape. Front desk guy was very rude, shot me a shady look and didn’t even acknowledge me at first. Then told me they don’t accept 3-day temp passes even though it’s on their website. Came here looking for a bit of friendly guidance, received nothing but shade from the employees. Was planning on purchasing a year pass, but will never come back to this location.

Any chance the pool cleaning hours can be posted ahead of time? I’ve shown up twice in the past two weeks at busy times and the pool is being cleaned

It’s a great place to work out, people are friendly, I like going in the morning. Staff is also great. I want to give a shout out to Jimmy he was my personal trainer when I first started and he is very professional knowledgeable, he helped me loose over 20 pounds. I highly recommended the personal training sessions if you are able to afford it, It’s worth every penny. Ask for jimmy and he will take care of you!

Just started working out again. I go early in the morning because it's less crowded and I'm able to do my workout with ease. Most equipment and weights are available without having to wait like you do during prime time at this gym. The only thing I notice is the lockers and bathrooms have not been updated. They look the same as they did in the 1980s. Filthy toilets and urinals. Also I'm old school and put my weights back where they belong. I noticed that weights are just laying everywhere.

I am very worried, I have been going swimming for days and rosettes began to appear on my neck and back, it is necessary to check the chlorine levels in the pool, I do not know if anyone else is reporting skin problems, I have a feeling that it is excess chlorine, my face also burned and an unbearable nasal allergy. Please review it urgently, I'm not going back, I'm afraid of a bigger problem with my health.

Emailed them twice, no response at all. Probably the worst 24 hour in San Diego. Sauna has been at 160, other locations are 190 degrees +. Machines (cardio and weights) broken for months, and nobody fixes it.

Girl at the front desk is just on her phone every morning sitting down when nobody replaces the spray bottles. If you tell the manager something they take it personal and doest even address your issue. Also anyone else realize how there's someone new working every month? Says a lot. Hey manager, wake up and do your job.

Customer Service was extremely bad, and they just straight up lie to customers. Gym isn't 24 hours. Signed up for that specific gyms three day pass, but when I got their they told me their offer isn't valid, because the manager doesn't want to respect it. Instead stated I can purchase a one-day pass for $20 when the entire month is only $25. Ended up purchasing Life Time Fitness membership since the customer service is amazing there, and the equipment is better

Great place to workout.
You don't get too many social media members if yall know what I'm talking about.
Big gym, has basketball court, swimming pool, showers.
I highly recommend getting the personal training package as soon as you sign up. Don't wait and get it later it's a lot cheaper doing it that way.
I want to give a shout out to Adam. He helped me lose 20 pounds. I came in at 226 and I'm currently between 202-206lbs.

The jacuzzi is time to check the cloring because esmeal a cloro my eyes burning my body esmeal a clorex.and the esteam room is time to clining thank you you

Me and my cousin stopped by for a guest pass, The front desk guy seemed annoyed.didn’t Greet us and rudely told us they don’t accept day passes at any locations, it didn’t make any sense if they’re available on the website.def won’t be coming here ever again

Equipment is old and most important ones (ie leg presses etc) that are used round the clock are always broken and it takes weeks to fix them. There are only 2 platforms upstairs with mirrors and 3 down stairs that don’t. There will be a line of people after 3pm on the platforms upstairs. The gym is always jam packed after 3pm until pretty much midnight. I dropped a metal rod out of my belt here and found it 4 days later where I put down my belt so that should tell you how often they clean the place. Benches are old and the padding on them solidified to a point where it hurts to just lay or sit on them let alone trying to lift on them. There is only one leg press one leg extension (other one has been down for months at this point) 1 calf machine thats also been down for months. Go to any other gym tbh

Everything is broken. Every day, something new breaks and management doesn’t do anything. The sauna has been broken for months now and it just broke again. Forrest (GMs) mechanism is to just lower the temperature rather than actually focusing on the issue. It’s 160 in there. My car gets hotter than it.

Leg extensions are broken, machines broken and not even replaced they just take them out and leave a gap in the workout area.

I’ve asked him if he could get me in contact with corporate and he didn't want to. People at the front desk just say that the GM is the only one who can do something about the issues and he doesn’t. Go to LA fit if you can. Management needs a shake up.

Very great place to work out, everyone who was also working out was very kind and respectful

I’ve been a member of this gym for over 2 years and as a loyal member today I was very upset by management at the gym. I invited my friend to attend to this gym since we saw an add online of a free 3 day pass. We decided to get the pass at the online website of 24hourfitness confirming this as the location for the 3 day pass. Once we arrived with the confirmation number at the selected location, management did not let us enter the facilities despite our previous enrollment and despite me being a member of 24hour fitness. Management said this promotion was not applicable for that specific gym even though it show up in their website and in my friends confirmation code

Great location. A little busy this morning but there is plenty of equipment to accommodate the crowd!

This is my local one Friendly knowledgeable staff it's clean it's a gym what do you expect it gets pretty busy sometimes depending on the hours you go but there's plenty equipment that prevents you from not finishing your completing your workout. Love the jacuzzi not a big fan of the sauna or steam room swimming pool there I have not tried yet for sure I will looks refreshing just a little chilly out these days.

Got my 3 day pass to check out the gym and see the flow in the gym for the next 3 days, drove all the way to this location just to be told they don’t accept them? I’ve never even heard of this from any location in the world that I’ve been too. Unfortunate because I was considering a year pass.

My friend and I decided to try several different gyms around San Diego this summer including Chuze, Crunch, Planet Fitness and LA Fitness but once we got to this 24 Hour we committed to a membership! The gym culture here is great and everyone is friendly. I felt supported and motivated by the atmosphere. The employees are nice and gave good protein powder recomendations. The equipment is good quality and there is enough that you rarely have to wait for a rack- only in the busy evening as with most gyms. I typically go in the mornings or at night so it isn't a problem. Also, this 24 Hour is one of the few that lives up to its name, and it's actually open 24 hours. It has a pool and basketball courts as well.
