Been here twice. First time with Juan and the second with Esteban. Both barbers work well and are easy going. Esteban cut my hair along with my two boys and he did an excellent job! Def going back! Thank you, 44 Palms!

The staff is really nice, as is the atmosphere. The thing is - I've been here 2-3 times and, regardless of the barber you work with, they really can only do super short, clipper-style hairstyles. Doesn't matter if you describe what you want in words (i.e, "short on the sides" does't mean buzzcut to the skin) or if you show them a photo of a prior, successful haircut that clearly isn't a clipper cut. Out come the clippers and you won't get the haircut you asked for. So, this place is great if you want a haircut for your child or are a dude who likes fades and basic mens' haircuts. They do a really good job at that. Otherwise I suggest going to Bushwackers down the road, where they have a lot more range.

I've been going here at least 3 years I think. I love the professionalism of these guys! Dale (the owner) is awesome and an incredible barber. His brother, Chris, can also hook it up! You can't go wrong. Highly recommend.

I’ve been going to 44 Palms for almost two years now and I always had a great experience there. All the barbers are super friendly, professional, and go out of their way to provide great cuts to their customers. I would definitely recommend 44 Palms to anyone looking for a great barber shop!

I don’t really post reviews but I’m not gonna lie, I’ve never been satisfied with a haircut until I just got my hair cut by Juan, absolute artist with the clippers and he takes his time to make it exactly how you want it and makes sure your cut is perfect before you walk out. I was looking for a new barber since mine moved away, and I’m so glad I was able to get my cut from him. Will be a regular with Juan from now on for sure.

Great guys, nice local barbershop, and talented staff. Esteban has a remarkable attention to detail, the guys all take pride in their work.

Hey wanted to thank Dale at 44 Palms for correcting my fade that Bush-wackos totally butchered. Dale wasn’t in town and I needed a cut and boy was it a big mistake not waiting for him but he made it right. Thanks again to and the rest of crew at 44 Palms.

[Update 6/22/23] We tried a few barbers closer to home and they never quite hit it out of the park so we went back to see Chris.

My son is SO glad we did. Chris took our vague descriptions and cut his hair so much better than we could have asked for! Chris is a true expert and gave my kid a new hairstyle that really suits him. My son has commented multiple times how much he likes his haircut, even days after getting it. We will stick with Chris from now on!

This was my tween son's first cut at a barbershop and we are both so happy with his new hairstyle! When researching barbers, I chose 44 Palms because they have excellent reviews, post examples of their work on Instagram, and offer an 'all scissor' cut as an option. Booking online through their website was quick and easy. Cash only, so plan ahead.

All the barbers were welcoming and genuinely nice. There's a great energy there. Chris did a FANTASTIC job! He knew exactly what look I was describing, and gave his professional input to give my kid the best cut that would suit his style and level of (low) maintenance.

Pricing is on par with similar shops and a great value for the quality and expertise. All around this was a wonderful experience - totally worth the time and money compared to the budget chains we had been going to! 10/10 recommend this place!

Joey is my go to guy here. He is very detailed oriented and takes pride in giving everyone a quality haircut. The other barbers do great work too. Good music, TV, and drinks while you wait.

This place is the best. Great environment, high-end professi onals. Chris is a guru. I'd been looking for an excellent barber shop - this is it.

He was a bit ruff with the cut but I like it.just that they only take cash but that was all the issues with the place.definitely better then super cuts or great cuts or whatever they call themselves, so if your options are super or 44 then I would go 44 palms the place was also a little rundown but hay what can you expect. Probably 5/5 or 4.5/5

Great haircut for the first time since the pandemic. The only inconvenience is that they only take cash, but they give great haircuts.

Went for a hair cut last week with Chris. I asked for a low-to-mid fade, and he shaved my sides bald almost all the way up to the top.

This could've been partly my fault for not being more emphatic. However, when you ask for a mid-fade, most barbers have a rule to not go above the eyebrows. Mine was bald until 1.5-2 inches above the eyebrows and looks pretty ridiculous. Still waiting for it to grow back.

Everything else about the shop is fine. Just gotta be more clear next time.

Went in for a haircut with Esteban. I have an undercut with a man bun, and paid $40 for a taper fade. The fade was longer on the right side of my head than the left, and he ended up cutting some of my hair from my man bun while doing my fade, and when I got home, long stands of hair from my bun fell from my head. Rest of the staff is great!
