5th Ave Bagelry reviews
15Only place I could find close to my hotel at The Pike that opens early. I'm an early riser and it was a brisk 10ish minute walk. The folks that work there are all very nice, make great food and drinks, and the place is cozy and clean. I tried the Denver that was recommended and the Green Juice. Very yummy! Hot and fresh! The bagel was so good! I had the Asiago Spinach bagel. It was soft and fresh. The chai lattes are also tasty. C= I also went the next two days after and ordered The Heavenly Veggie and added egg and bacon, and the bacon is so crispy and everything made hot and fresh! I had the strawberry shortcake smoothie and the spiced chai blended. So very yummy!
Why isn't there salt on the everything bagel? Got an egg sandwich that was hella bland because there was not a grain on that mofo. Also added an orange juice without realizing it was $6. I'm sure it was all freshly squeezed and organic, and actually it was pretty bomb, but $6?
Not real bagels. I was so disappointed. Bagel was too spongy. You all need to visit Cantor’s Deli on Fairfax Blvd, Los Angeles. They make real bagels.
July 2022:
I notice they all wear masks now. They also have a separate line for pick ups now which makes it easier for people to get orders quickly.
Original review posted November 2021:
The workers here don’t wear masks. They haven’t for months. If they don’t follow that health mandate, I don’t have any reason to believe they follow other ones. That seems like a big deal since they’re handling food.
The whole family had brunch here and everyone was happy with their bagels. Nice little place with nice staff and great food.
On an early walk in a brisk cloudful Saturday morning, I find 5th Ave Bagelry. Originally from New Jersey, I take a chance on finding a satisfying bagel meal. Customer service is good; even with a seemingly busy morning, the employees seem to be working efficiently. I don’t wait long for the meal. The Heavenly Veggie Deluxe tastes good! The meal is to savor bite by bite, and I prefer to eat one bagel half at a time. The red onions give the meal a necessary zest. Seasoning balances the Avocado texture. Tomatoes make the meal juicier while adding a subtle sweet flavor. The Vegan cream cheese is a solid base which makes the bagel more comfortable to eat. All the ingredients mesh so well together. The pickle is a boost of food juice flavor inbetween bagel halves that makes the flavors of the bagel more present, to me.
As a NYer I’m very critical of bagels but these were good! The everything bagel (the works) was evenly seasoned and doughy. Garlic herb cream cheese was good. Everything tasted fresh! Good size. 2 bagels and an americano set us back only $6! So affordable for a quick breakfast in Long Beach.
Fantastic place, very clean and fast service. A bit pricey for add ons, but really delicious.
I went to this business establishment the other day & left highly disappointed. I attempted to order two completely different bagels. The cashier ether made the mistake or the ones making the order made the mistake. I ordered one Cranberry Cream Cheese Bagel the other one was a "crowd pleasers" Black Forest Ham Bagel. Instead of giving me my two bagels they combined both of them together. Giving me SpongeBob SquarePants nasty patty vibes. I did not eat the Bagel. No recipt was given to me ether so I couldn't go back to Bagely to complain & just excepted my loss.
This is the best ham and cheese croissant that I had in a long time. The cheese was melted to perfection. It complemented the ham. The coffee was okay but it can't compete the chain coffee specialty shops. Overall the I recommend the 5th Ave Bagelry.
Great food. I ordered the blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese & the turkey sandwich but on a plan bagel. Bagels where toasted just right. Just the right amount of crunch, light airy and fluffy. I also ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice. The taste was good, with a lot of pulp, but that’s to be expected. It would be awesome if they had a pulp free option. But all around great bagels and sandwiches.
The food is always great, but the service provided while trying to pick up app orders is horrendous. It’s almost as if the employees are trained to completely ignore anyone who is standing at the mobile app ordering pick-up area.
Watermelon sugar? Nah, cinnamon sugar highhh.best bagel i ever had.even tho this was my only bagel i ever had.i just know its good cus there was one left.
Awesome local bagel spot. Their bagels are light and airy, with a little chew that makes a good bagel so amazing. Plus their toppings are on both sides, which always makes an everything bagel even better. The sandwiches are great, drinks are solid, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We'll be back for sure
