85°C Bakery Cafe - Mira Mesa reviews
15I used to love coming to this bakery, but this time, as if the store was not ready to open. A lot of our favorites were not even there. The store only offered a few varieties. We came at 8: 30am on Sunday. Any bakery I know, usually open with full varieties bakeries on the display early in the morning. I don't know if this is because of the pandemic that the store doesn't have enough crew to run the store.
I like going to this location.they are always very busy. I like they are following limited capacity, masks, etc.their oolong zebra tea is the bomb.plus their taro is amazing but always run out early.you have to be there early.thai milk the is also delicious. I will recommend this to my family and friends. A+
This place is such a dangerous place to go to! Almost everything here is soooo good! The last time I was here I had this butter milk croissant and OMFG delish! Luckily my friend and I were on the road eating it or we would have ended up buying more. Also if you are a coffee drinker, you must try the sea salt coffee.
Staple sweets and pastry stop. Really can't go wrong with the bakery
There are better places for boba tho.
NOT A FAN. The second to last time I went there, which was before the pandemic, I bought their full sized mango cake. That was disappointing, the mango cream was too sweet and the cake you can taste as obviously dry, but it was a interesting experience picking up the bread like a buffet. I went to go pick up a full sized mother's day sweet strawberry cream yesterday. They didn't have option to order online, so I ordered the cake on the phone they didn't ask for my email to sent the receipt, they asked my phone number but still didn't send me the receipt. I wish they had a separate entrance or like a smaller line for those who ordered ahead but no everyone stood in the same line, of ten or more people, what is the point of me waiting again of I ordered ahead? When I got in The staff were pretty rude two people asked me If I had a receipt twice, even after I explained twice to each of them how I ordered a cake with them, paid for it on the phone, and they didn't send me a receipt. They had a really annoyed look on their face, I had a reservation that was 30 minutes away until I stood in a 20 minute line I asked them 'Hey, can you hurry up? I have a reservation in like 10 minutes", They finally dragged themselves into the back and indeed they found my cake with a paid sign on it, and they asked if it was my name, and it was. The end result I missed my lunch reservation and the restraunt was overbooked for the day. I had to find another restraunt which wasn't overbooked since every where we went yesterday all the restraunts were overbooked, when I got there I finally noticed, I asked the 85° Degrees Bakery people, to add in a extra white chocolate piece that says "Happy 18th mother's day" on top of the cake, instead they shoved it to the side on a plastic bag instead of putting it on the cake where it would be melted since it would shared the cake's coldness. So at the end of the day they made me pay $33 for a drier than hell cake, which was packed with over sweetness, and chocolate piece that was super closed to melting If I hadn't noticed. I literally threw up for twenty minutes after eating only two bites of the cake. Oh ya, the whipped cream? That tasted like blobs of air, no sweetness just white blobs of air. Anyways, I am seriously disappointed and you better believe I am not coming back.
Most of my experience here have been pleasant. There may be a couple of instances where I felt rushed at the cashier. Bake goods and drinks are always very good an+ fresh. Is it clean? Before the COVID Lockdown, sometimes the eating area does get really yucky. I think it's the customers that don't at least clean up after themselves, and during peak hours, it can get out of control with sanitation.
Fantastic for sweet treats and boba! Fresh and made multiple times a day. Clean and super well managed.
Great service, lovely as well as great tasting cakes, pastries and drinks. Plus happy service!
I love the Black Forest, it’s spongy and moist. The pastries & sweets are freshly made and really good. I like my Iced Peach Green Tea Boba. The place is clean and staff are very friendly.
This place is amazing if you have not tried it it's definitely worth it. They sell gourmet pastries at very low prices.
Decently priced pastry items that are fresh. The sweet items are better than the savory based on the few times I've been here. If you've lived in Asia and are missing that bakery feel, this is a great place to stop. The milk tea bun is one of my favorites.
Sure glad we discovered this place! Always a good sign when you show up and there’s a line out the door. Bought a big bag of items and enjoyed every one of them.
Very delicious bakery and good cakes for birthday. Their products are not cheap but worth the money. I like chocolate mousse cake the most.
This place is the bomb. Not only are the pastries and cakes delicious, but the drinks are terrific! I nearly always go here whenever I need a cake or boba. They have a variety of pastries, of which all are enticing. That being said, it can get very busy. If you need a cake or drink, it is best to order online. All in all, this is one of my favorite dessert places to go to.
Some pretty good baked goods. Always fresh and the place is always clean and all the baked goods are individually wrapped. The coffee I had was a little watery but not bad. The staff is pretty friendly. I think I would like to see some more baked goods that don't have like cream and other fillings.
