In buying a model home that had never been lived in, it was not considered as customary or necessary, but we were insistent. Our inspector Jeff was prompt and got right to work. He didn't mind that we were floating around while he was working and was very open and receptive to any questions we had. He gave us a nice breakdown of the issues he found, most of which were very minor given the age of the home, but there was one (I would call major) issue he found that required prompt attention. The inspection gave us confidence that we were buying a nice home to continue to grow our family.

This review is the review you are looking for. George did a great home inspection and swimming pool inspection. Moving from Utah to Murrieta, California is a big step and I called several inspectors to see who I felt would do the best inspection solely by knowing what their experience and background was. The 5 star reviews helped me in my final decision.
I have been in the construction industry in Utah for over 20 years and I have done several home inspections myself. I debated on doing my own home inspection because I am professionally qualified. I decided that it would be best to have somebody with building experience that was from California, so I could discuss building codes, rules, laws, mold and termites, etc. To be able to discuss all of these items you would normally need to call 3 to 4 different contractors. George could answer all my questions because he came from home building experience. That is what sets him apart from other home inspectors. Get an inspector that actually knows what he is looking at and not a text book guy whos experience is looking at pictures. This is a big investment for you and your family. Hire this company and you will not be dissapointed.

Mr Jeff never in hurry and rushing to do his work, that is more satisfaction. I can see him do job right. He really knowledgeable to his profession, specially to find right away what is not right. Anyway I used his service twice and I will use again for my next project and I will highly recommend him and his company ABL, a better look. If I could put 100 stars I would! I recommend A Better Look to all my clients! Not only is the whole team genuinely good people but that do an extremely Thorough job and leave the home in the same condition they found it. At the end of their inspection they walk the clients through each room of the home & point out their finding while also giving them recommendations on how to do the repairs & who to use for the work. & as the icing on the cake they gift the clients with an extensive home maintenance book.

Being an out-of-state buyer, I felt uneasy having my inspection done without one of us being there. My agent assured me I was in good hands with A Better Look and she was right! George was incredibly thorough and took the time to talk with me after it was complete to give me a run-down of everything. He then followed up promptly with our report, which was extremely comprehensive, with photos and highlighted sections. He was responsive days later when we had questions. All around I would highly recommend. (First time buyers this would be your guy!)

George is a real professional.he clearly knows what he is talking about. He didn't talk down or explain things in a an overly complicated way, which was important for me as a first time homeowner. Very patient. He also means it when he says he'll serve as a resource weeks or months after the home inspection is complete to answer any homeowner questions you have.
