Where should I start. They have quite a selection on their menu (see picture) which were a classic with a twist, and some I have never heard of before. We had the chocolate lavender with cocoa bits in honey. I was something new and it took a few bites for the flavors to make sense. We also had a buckwheat chocolate cookie, which was light and.unique. Maybe I need to try something else on their menu. It was a unique experience, which was new to me. I'd come back just for the curiosity of it.

Their location is close to the free parking spot which was great. The store is a bit small with no place to chill inside the store. They do have a bench outside.

Mind blowing! I recently tried their strawberry sorbet and after the first bite I had to double check that it was dairy free because it was so unbelievably creamy! I couldn’t get over it. The entire time I was eating it, I kept saying “this is amazing! ” Truly the best sorbet I’ve ever had. And even with a crowd of people, my order was made fresh and quickly!

No idea what people giving anything less than 5 stars for this ice cream shop are thinking; some people just invent fake negative elements so that they can appear more enlightened or exacting. This is the best ice cream I will ever eat — and that’s including gelato consumed all over Italy, exquisite homemade ice cream across Japan and Europe, and, of course, boutique shops throughout the United States. Yes, even without the “candied orange peel” a al Minute is KING

Was excited to bring my toddler here to try some ice cream since it used to be one of my favorite ice cream spots but hadn’t been here in so long! As we are walking in we notice a HUGE PRIDE FLAG on the wall. Disgusting. Will not be coming back.

Very strong flavors (which is good), definitely not muted. Waffle cones are homemade and are great!

Place gets very busy, but prices are decent. Gets busy too!

I love their product and the only negative is the wait at times can be long. Don't be in a hurry and you'll be rewarded. It's one of my favorite things about Redlands. Ice cream made to order naturally takes time and it's worth some wait.

Their selections are interesting and the choices have grown over time and ever one I've had has been great. I usually get the mint chip which is terrific. Most of the choices are more exotic sounding. The liquid nitrogen and quality ingredients result in a smooth and velvety consistency that is solid but doesn't feel too cold. The flavors are subtle and it tastes and feels like real food.

As for the wait, I last went mid Friday night, the wait was pretty long, just to order.

By the time I left, the line was most the way up the block. Don't know if they need more staff on Friday than the three busy busy workers or what.

I was there for eighteen minutes total and once I got to the till, I had to wait maybe a bit more than five minutes as the gal at the register worked with the team to get orders out. I ordered pints which she had already prepared in the freezer so once she could wait on me, she got me out fast. I was close to abandoning my position at the register during my wait and I wonder if others bail out or wait and have some of the best ice cream I've ever had.

I was visiting with friends in the downtown Redlands area, already captivated by the sights and sounds of the place at night. I was in the mood for ice cream, and the friends who live in Redlands insisted we go to à la Minute Ice Cream. There was a little bit of a line out the door, but that was fine (the night was relatively cool and the company pleasant). I ordered a butter caramel chocolate crunch.
What I got with my first bite was an amazing explosion of flavors that surprised me in all the best ways. It was sweet but not cloying. Crunchy but not in a hard-to-chew-through way. The treat was so light and smooth that I know I would want more than I bought (which was already a regular to begin with).
The servers and staff were very friendly and happy to help, and the parlor was clean with a very relaxed, earthy, homey vibe. When next I go back to Redlands, I will have to stop in for more!

Absolutely amazing ice cream. The texture is so smooth unlike most ice creams. It also isn’t heavy while still tasting rich. Highly recommend the salted caramel, and orange honey (when oranges are in season). The lemon custard is surprisingly refreshing as well. Their chocolate chip and espresso are great choices as well. One downside is they won’t split flavors or offer samples if there’s a line (which there’s almost always a line).

I don't know if it's because I made it special, but it's delicious.
Always crowded with locals

Cool concept, good flavors. Don’t know that that it’s as good as the hype. I tried the brown butter chocolate caramel, lemon custard, and chocolate orange. Chocolate orange was supposed to have candied orange peel, but they were all out, so I imagine it would’ve made that dish. The other two were pretty good. Great flavors, decent service, just not worth $4.50 for one scoop.

With ice cream made fresh to order, you’re guaranteed an ice cream that’s actually creamy, not rough or icy. That does not, however, guarantee that the flavors will be on point. But after a few visits, in my humble opinion, I say à la Minute has their flavors just right. The salted caramel is supreme.

I liked them, but the truth is that they are not my favorites, we bought cones, and the truth is that we threw the cookie away, the cone is too sugary, it is ideal for people with very sweet tastes.

UPDATE 2023: I’ve been thinking about this place for 6 years, that’s how good it is! Husband and I were in the area and got to go again. This time I tried the avocado ice cream. Prices have gone up, now it’s $4.50 for a mini scoop and $6 for a regular scoop. The ice cream is still phenomenal, and if I lived in the area I’d still go there. It’s worth the price. I wish I could give it 10 stars. The people who work there seem happy to be there and are very helpful and friendly.

2017: This place was great! We got a medium chocolate lavender ice cream. It was so thick and rich. We were deciding between a medium and a large, and the cashier recommended a medium because it was a big amount of ice cream. I love that he gave us an honest opinion instead of trying to upsell us. The flavors all sound very unique: orange honey, vanilla and olive oil, chocolate lavender, chocolate orange, strawberry balsamic—and then you have your classic flavors like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mint chip. Most popular flavor is salted caramel by far. I recommend going here! $5 for a small, $6 for medium, $8 for large, $10 for pint. $1 extra to get it in a waffle cone, and there are cookie sandwich options.

Great quality craft ice cream. Fun flavors and all local ingredients. There is always a line out the door. It truly shows how good this place is.

I love the orange sorbet! It’s always so fresh and delicious. Wait time depends on what time of day. Definitely more chill during the week and weekends can get kind of crazy.

Most people love their ice cream. I find it to be very thick and creamy, and have a milky taste. It’s great quality and in a nice area of Redlands.
