I’ve seen R. Kahn twice. The first time I had a full blown panic attack when he recommended a cortisone shot. To put it mildly, I was completely overwhelmed, I was full of anxiety, I was having hot flashes, breathing erratically and I put a death grip on an assistant’s hand while he gave me the shot. But R. Kahn was so great. He calmed me down as best as he could through his sense of humor, his empathy and total compassion. I was so thankful for having him there for my first cortisone shot, that I felt so compelled to hug him on my way out. I have never done that before!
The 2nd appointment with R. Kahn, I was still nervous. I knew my other knee needed a shot. But I was brave because R. Kahn was going to be there for me again, and he was.
My enormous fear of needles in general would usually keep me away, my usual MO would be to never return, despite the pain. But again, I have R. Kahn to thank, because of his encouragement and kindness, he gave me exactly what I needed, and for now, I can finally live without chronic pain. With much appreciation, K. Zimmer

Dr. Khan and his team took good care of me when I tore a tendon in my shoulder. 6 mos.after surgery, I'm nearly back to normal. In twelve mos, I hope to be as good as before the injury.
