A Simpler Time-Alpacas & Mill

Very suggested! All ages will enjoy the tour! I went with my mom, a friend, and my 4-year-old niece. The alpacas were quite friendly. The proprietors did an excellent job of promptly responding to emails to confirm tour schedules. No problems getting there, and the trip back was quite lovely! JJ gave us our tour, was very knowledgeable, and addressed all of our inquiries. Gonna take the tour once more!

We had a great time visiting the farm! Jeremy was very helpful and took his time showing us the farm and explaining everything related to the alpacas. Feeding the alpacas was also a fun experience.

Just make sure to schedule a tour before going even if you have a small group, since looking at the alpacas and store is on an appointment basis.

First time at an alpaca farm and it was the coolest thing ever! Only saw three of the forty alpacas they have, apart from the yarn they have many ready made great quality items, super extra fluffy and warm.

My friend and I took the tour with Jeremy as our guide. What a fun and informative experience. Jeremy was great and answered all our questions while showing us around.
Feeding the alpacas was so much fun and we got to see a baby that was only a few days old.
I highly recommend taking this tour!

Such a wonderful experience! Barbara is such a nice gal with a wealth of information. We loved the Alpacas, the mill, and all of the buttery soft Alpaca items for sale.

Jeremy was very informative with the alpaca farm tour and what goes into making yarn! Petting the alpacas was the best part, and you get to feed them. Definitely recommend visiting this alpaca farm. Just a note that you’ll have to drive down to get to it.

Our group had a great time at A Simpler Time! Our tour guide Jeremy made sure that we got quality time with the alpacas, and he answered the endless questions we had. The working dogs Max and Molly were also so friendly to us. I would definitely recommend coming here!

We surprised our daughter with a tour of this ranch for her birthday. The surprise far exceeded our expectations. Alpacas are so beautiful, sweet, fluffy, quiet, therapeutic creatures. Jeremy was so knowledgeable and loves what he does. It really did feel like a simpler time being there. So many cute alpaca items in the store. Beautiful location and property. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place, super nice folks, we came to visit today during the yearly alpaca shearing. Awesome to see! Beautiful shop as well with incredible things made from alpaca yarn. Can't wait to visit again!

My kids loved it here. The people are very kind. The alpacas are tame, friendly and seem to enjoy the attention. Seems like a good honest family running a farm and inviting the community to learn about alpacas. So happy we spent the afternoon there. A good value for the individual time and explanations they give.

The wife and I had a wonderful time visiting "A Simpler Time" Alpaca Farm and Mill in El Cajon this past Friday. Barbara greeted us after Rusty the Anatolian Shepherd greeted us in a friendly fashion.
Barbara was very friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about Alpacas and had a good time feeding the Alpaca girls.going through the Mill was interesting and i am actually wearing a pair of very comfortable Alpaca wool as i write this review.you should visit the Farm and Barbara so you can learn as we did.

I sent some raw fiber for processing. I got my roving back on time, and it's gorgeous! Nice and clean and fluffy. Can't wait to start spinning it!

You’re not going to want to miss out on this awesome experience. The staff are so kind and sweet and will answer any questions you have. The alpacas are sweet and eager to be fed, such a rad experience! Make sure you ask about how they got into owning alpacas, awesome story! It’s not a farm that’s only there for yours, it’s a real farm where they actually take care of animals and mill the fur, it’s not a museum, so expect to see the real character of the place. 10/10 would recommend!
