A & W SURPLUS AUCTION, INC reviews
17Great! Awesome! Fantastic! Look at things in person before bidding. Auctions are tricky. It goes with the territory.
Don't bid on any comestible items they are all expired! Unprofessional management, rude with costumers and employees won't recommend this place at all they have an insider jumping up the bids! Be careful
Horrible auction everything is damage, and missing parts, food and drinks are always expire selling trash for profit,
Long term customer for over a decade, about a year problems, now it’s just got down to the point of I have to recommend no one do business with them. Customer service non existent and good luck contacting them. IDK what happened. Used to be excellent. But now i can’t get a hold of them. Email gets kicked back and phone mailbox is full, “wait! What? ” huge red flag. Wayne used to have that place dialed, now stay away!
Some great deals can be found here. But when I went to pick up my Lot of 15 items, there're only 8 items. Not sure if someone miss-counted in the ad or if part of my lot ended up in someone else's Lot.
Anyway, I was told I would get a credit for the missing items.
Overall, a lot of useful items can be found here. I've been coming here for years.
It is horrible. Be careful on what you bid for. It is misleading and basically fraud. They don’t take picture of any damages. Some will be listed New in box but when you get it is damaged. BBB get a hold of them, they done.
SCAMMERS. DO NOT BUY.
Lots of junk in the auctions. They show new products and its not, 1 item will be like new and the rest will be falling apart / wires sticking out. Don't trust the pictures posted, try to look at the actual items first and be careful with auctions that are "assorted" because its assorted junk and not the item pictured or described. The MSRP prices they show are a lot higher than the stores. One of the employees charged be to load up a pallet onto the truck. Save your money and the headache. Don't buy from them.
Sometimes it's great sometimes it's not.that's what happens at an auction, you take your chances.
Some of the products you get on here are returns or damaged items that they pay year round to different businesses like Amazon, Target, Kohls, and other stores. You get what you paid for. What really makes me mad, is they will post items on here that you could get cheaper BRAND NEW! Make sure you do your research before bidding on these items. I just seem a camera go for $65 that you can buy for $20 on Amazon.
This place use to be ok.not sure what happened because now they are just out there scamming people. The product descriptions are all wrong and they do that on purpose so they can sell you junk items at top prices. BEWARE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THESE SCAMMER!
I've Started a Facebook group in protest to this company "SCAMMED by A&W Surplus Auction, Inc. (Fresno, CA) "
Just horrible! Unless you enjoy throwing your money away. This auction business use to be decent. The people running the place use to be honorable and good with customers. It has gotten so bad.the products are absolute junk. The customer service is a joke! Especially the office people! The labor workers are for the most part doing a decent job under horrible working conditions. It’s NOT worth it, trust me.just in the last month I’ve lost a thousand dollars in junk products. I was a customer for many many years… they won’t see another dollar from me.
Mixed feelings from doing business with this company. The guys that help with loading are wonderful and I always tip, as one should. You have tho know how to read the listings words or you'll end up with bad products. We've been doing this for over two years.
If you want to know what that language is contract me here.averyralphy@gmail
I know buyer beware when you don't buy new. We bought a hard top canopy. I was expecting maybe missing some bolts but we ended up missing all the bolts, manual, and most of all the frame parts. It's worthless. It would of been nice if they would have specified parts missing.
The Auction and the products overall work out to be a great value. The customer service and communication is definitely on the low end of the spectrum. Generally, their descriptions are spot on, but all it takes is one misrepresented item and poor response and dialogue and they have lost a customer and the constant praises that used to come from me. But as they shared with me, we have over 10,000 customers and over 900 bidding weekly.in other words, we don't need you.
This place turns from bad to worst. Employees are rude and unprofessional. They sell items with wrong descriptions sometimes.you can sell items through them only if they like you. I bought something from them and when I try to resell that item through them they did not let me. Their only motive is to make money that's it. They just rip off customers. I buy and sell things regularly for a couple of years but now they are just taking customers' money. They start scamming people lately. Beware of their Scam.
This is a surplus auction site. You can go and preview, test, and examine EVERY item they list on their auction site BEFORE you bid on the item. The people that have posted negative reviews did NOT go an check out the item they were bidding on before bidding. You need to do your due diligence BEFORE bidding on ANY item. I have purchased MANY items at a GREAT value by going and looking at the items PRIOR to bidding on the item.
Be careful when you buy stuff from this place sometimes items aren’t as described, and the person in the office are very rude.
