AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I took my car in to replace radiator. I left with air bag light on and check engine light on. I returned to be told I need cylinders replaced. I did so and left with check engine light on. I was told I need a tuneup and starter boots replaced. The oil was overfilled and the boots they said they replaced were broken and cracked when I took it to another mechanic. There was zero antifreeze in the radiator and the boots were broken and shredded. I was told by Aamco, Which tan the manager, I could contact manufacturer about their warranty? The cylinders were coated with antifreeze and useless. I was told I need a valve job and any damage was my fault when I left. I couldn’t drive the car and had a total of 20 something miles between numerous trips to Aamco. The radiator was installed wrong and a lot of damage from antifreeze leaking out. They said it was not their problem. They lied about work they said they did. They made up a different diagnosis every time I returned. My car does not start. I have more damage caused by Aamco. The car has been well maintained. I had no problems before I went to Aamco. This shop is in Auburn California on Grass Valley Highway. I am hearing from other Aamco customers from different areas this is business as usual for many Aamco shops.

The staff were super helpful, kind and outgoing and friendly. They ended up diagnosing a complicated problem for free, as well as offering sage advice on road closures and giving a detailed estimate.

Ex made an 8am appt to have AAMCO check her Odyssey's slipping transmission at 120k miles. Hearing nothing by 4pm, she went over to be told she should set aside $4k for a transmission replacement.
We read up online and flushed (changed it 3x) with Honda fluid and it shifts perfectly again, for $150.

This is the only place that gives 100,000mile guarantee on your vehicle's transmission. This is a new buyer transferable warranty. With very friendly service it's a no brainer

Dave, Mo and Rose are amazing! They fit me in at the last min and checked my transmission (I thought it was going out) and they did an oil change. They did a thorough check on everything and reassured me my car was safe to drive to Southern Ca. They had great customer service and were very honest with me. I want to thank dave and his excellent team. Brought my 2001 dakota in with an appointment of course and the were right on schedule thank you. They diagnosed the vehicle code p1728. Came up. They replaced the pressure censor we should be ready roll all within 2 hrs awesome. I would recommend them to anybody that wants honest excellent service to try them you wont be disappointed. This is THE first place I go when I have any car trouble or service needs. I feel like a good friend every time I walk in the door. I trust them completely. I value that they take care of my vehicles without “man-splaining” it all to me. They are top-notch in workmanship, service, communication and price! We are fire fighters from colorado on a fire here, we had 24 hours to get our truck back up and running and they did everything they could to get us back! They did a great job and the staff was more than helpful.

Best place ever. Customer service is great. I have brought a couple cars there for repair. Never disappointed. I was quoted $1000 by Honda and AAMCO fixed it for free. I can’t say enough about this company. I know sometimes it’s hard to trust car mechanics but believe me AAMCO is as good as it gets!

Everytime I take my vehicle in I get it back with a different problem than what I went for

I came in for an estimate on front end work.
I am a repeat customer, I’ve taken 2 vehicles there, last year.
I was given an estimate over $900.00, after they put the car in the air and inspected it.
I went to another front end shop for an inspection and estimate.
They told me the lock nuts on the tie rod were loose, they aligned the front end, $160 out the door.
I feel Aamco is running a CLIP JOINT!
I will never trust them again.

They make you feel welcome if you have problems with your vehicle they tell you step-by-step it to know what’s really going on most places don’t tell you but I feel real comfortable I live far away I drive all the way up there to get good service

I have used this AAMCO on multiple occasions for two different vehicles. The work ranged from A/C service, to check engine light to front end work. I have found this shop to be very honest and reliable. They provide good communication, good service and fair prices. I really appreciate the fact that they recently went above and beyond for my wife (a big shout out to Moe!) when she had an issue with getting a vehicle towed. I definitely recommend them for all kinds of car care.
