ABC Market, Chico CA

I absolutely love the atmosphere here. The woman with glasses has always been so kind and always knows how to put a smile on my face. I’ve never had a problem here and I love how close this location is to my house.

I go to ABC often and always treated with kindness and a smile when I walk in from the lady with glasses. Not high prices and has most of the essentials. Staff is always very helpful

I love coming to this store Rahel is one of the best of cashiers I’ve ever interacted with! She’s kind, respectful and always has something nice to say!

I love this store for its middle eastern products and kind, cheerful employees. I appreciate that they’ve added some organic products like milk for example.

There are so many reasons why we love coming to ABC market.
-Rahel is THE SWEETEST woman and got our newest daughter a Christmas present for her first Christmas.
-It’s feet from our house & has all of the essentials.
- We are treated like family each time we come in.
- We are always greeted with a smile and a conversation.
We literally stop here multiple times a day and would never take our business anywhere else, you pay for convenience and it’s WORTH IT!

Used to walk here frequently because it was only a street away from my house but I stopped because the cashier with glasses has an extremely uncomfortable presence. You feel like you’re being watched the second you step foot in the parking lot, until the second you drive away… He constantly questions what you’re getting and who it’s for…I don’t know why it matters or why he is so concerned? He even questions when I use a different form of payment. I’ve never met someone that micromanages at a minimum wage job so extreme and literally harasses people for what they buy and how they buy it. Just take a deep breath and mind your business.

They were a liquor store for a long time; then they tried for a while to make the addition of offering a Middle Eastern section. I absolutely loved it, although I'm not Middle Eastern. I got a lot of things in there, but now it seems that they've just given up on this and they're generally only restocking regular food and offering their liquor mart again. They might want to change the name on Google from Mediterranean, LOL. There are some really sweet staff members as well that work there

Decide to not drive and walk all the way to abc, get told my sober self is too drunk to be served. This has happened twice, the second time was with a friend who was sober and seems like it was due to her voice. Don't give them any business, every option is better

More expensive than dino mart that is just a block away. Overall worst experience with any business in Chico. They have a very disrespectful older woman with glasses behind the counter. I've had a few moments with her myself and my neighbors all seem to notice her behavior. It's kinda the word around the neighborhood to go to the dino mart or rays liquor. No real reason to go to the abc market unless you like to have a awful experience and be treated with discrimination.

I'm leaving nearby and I just gave a 50 and received back only$8 and I guess thankfully notice right when I grab the paper from outside went back and told him and he argumentatively said that I gave him a $20 bill and I know for a fact I do not cuz it's all the money I have in the world I just got given to me by my father-in-law places I don't know what to think about it right now I usually think they're all right but we'll see calling the manager in the morning. If it goes well and they have a tape to be seen I will review definitely but honestly not crossing my fingers. Especially after seeing the other review it is Saturday wondering if I should just call the cops. That's all the money in the world I have

I am blown away that this store exists.
A "normal sized" liquor store that will seriously only "give" Lottery Tickets in exchange for cash.
Seriously, no debit or card lol.

I shop here a lot because I live down the street and my boyfriend and I are VERY good friends with Rachel who works here. We had the worst expierence last night that was actually very scary and not ok. NO paying respectful customer should ever be treated the way we were treated last night. The cashier with glasses and a ponytail that is extremely inappropriate and rude literally YELLED as loud as he could at me and my two friends who are the same age as me 30 and one that is 40 years old. He was yelling because our boyfriends were waiting outside while us 30 year old women buy a pack of beer but as we are standing in line the cashier literally yells in our faces ARE YOU WITH THE PEOPLE OUTSIDE? ! As he ran outside to then harrass our boyfriends who are well over the age and look like it, and come back in and YELL at us again because he needed to check the IDs of everyone…. It was actually very disturbing behavior from any person. I didn’t feel safe and as a paying customer who has done nothing but be nice and respectful this was so upsetting. I understand this person clearly has a lot of issues, but the way he handled that situation was SO wrong and not ok. He should NOT have a job in customer service because they just lost some of their most loyal customers that come there daily to see their friend as well. Please remove this person from the staff so you don’t lose more business this was not okay I almost called her when it happened but it was too late at night she was asleep by then. I hope this guy gets help because that was the most bizarre thing I have ever witnessed and I live in Chico. I will not be returning.

Truly WORST customer service EVER! And yes overpriced but some didn't have an option till she forced us out

Very unprofessional, the older lady working the register coughs everywhere and calls customers a "spick" or "dark skinned" while on the phone. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
