AC Hotel by Marriott Irvine

This place is not very convenient. There's hardly any parking, they charge $40 for valet. There's no bathroom, just a room with a toliet, and a room with a walk in shower. No space to dry off and get dressed. You have to close the blinds, and get dressed in the middle of the room. You have to unpack the coffee pot to use it. The floors in the room are cold tile, so your feet are cold, and they hurt. You have to wear your shoes. There's hardly a warm blanket on the bed, so you have to run the loud heater. The lighting in the room is hard to figure out. Most of the time your in the dark trying to turn on a light. The resturant on site closes at 6pm, and you have to wait for an operator to pick up the phone to take your order. I'll never stay here again.

My room was assigned to the floor right underneath the gym. I kept hearing people dropping dumbbells and making banging sounds from the ceiling at 11: 30 pm. I have a plane to catch the next morning. The front desk staff said that the gym opened 24/7. I have 2 kids who already fell asleep. It was too late for me to change the room. I had to call the front desk three times. Finally, the staff agreed to talk to the people from the gym after hearing the bang sound from the phone.

Great design and front desk, well-appointed, but attention to detail is lacking. Among the somewhat amusing basic things missing were ironing board pad, coffee maker pot, and turndown service for multi-night stay.

Close to airport. Relatively updated gum is well equipped and decent spread for breakfast. They provide water at each floor ; sometimes it helps a lot. Close to few dining options and Starbucks

What can make me give it five stars
Room cleaning- attention to detail is missing in few spots

Parking- while doing self parking, each time tickets needs to be validated. This adds to your to-list

Nice hotel but it is LOUD. I was ready to give this hotel 5 stars until 11p when I was woken up by my neighbors talking in the room next to me. Could hear every single word of the conversation, clearly. The outside noise is loud too. Cars coming and going from the surrounding restaurants shops is very noticeable.

Nice hotel but curious choose to source their blankets from the Orange County prison. One of the worst sleeps I’ve had in a hotel. Real blankets would have been appreciated

Dust was everywhere, more cleaning is needed.

There was no staff to be seen, so I believe this hotel needs to hire some.

I was on the second floor, but sometimes I hear very loud noises coming from the third floor.

For the price I paid, it was not worth it. For one night's stay, I paid 265 dollars.

A mile away from sna Airport. Room was nice but people at reception were very unfriendly and not courteous at all.

This place is great and the staff here is amazing. I give 4 stars for location but it is just across from a small plaza with a variety of restaurants and a grocery store. My events were at the convention center so I had a 20 minute Uber ride daily but I rushed to get back to the hotel as everything I needed was right here

Unable to recommend the hotel.

Service has been absolutely underwhelming. Couldn’t even get a single room service done even after five nights at the location.

Wifi spotty, front desk Nora was great! Scan code on TV was only way to get info. Code disappeared when TV was turned on, didn't know how to call front desk for help! Too techy for us.

Please fix the sinks.its always clogged. Obviously from the reviews you have issues w sinks and showers. Fix your kitchen. You have a great location but your service is clearly not up to par. Hire a maintenance guy!

My first time in this hotel was last year and the reservation was done my my friend the front disk people are super unprofessional and not friendly at all and once I checked out last year I discovered that my Vancleef bracelet was missed, and this year I did reservation to give this hotel a second chance and I called two days before my reservation to ask if they are going to change me if I did early check in and the front disk people told me that there is no change and once I arrived they charged me for a whole night + the manager himself is the person who was working on the front disk and he was not friendly and helpful at all also the towels were look like that they were not washed, and none helped me to curry my stuff to my room and the valet guy was sleeping and honestly I’m not going to came back to this hotel because they was they are treating the customers is bad and it’s not far to pay this price for the night and not having a good and nice service.

Hotel overall is nice, good service from front desk and valet.
Walls between rooms are super thin where you can hear everything.
Doors have a gap where you can hear everything going on in the hallways.

Stayed a week and never had housekeeping bring fresh towels, body wash ran out on my second day.
Only way to get serviced is to stop them in the hallway.

For the price I would have rather stayed at a holiday inn.

Stayed here for 3 nights this past weekend. Were in town for UC Irvine Orientation weekend. The front desk staff, housekeeping, and valets were wonderful! We loved Vincent the valet! Friendly, so very kind, gave us some great dinner recommendations and was just great overall! Great success to him at UC Fullerton! Thank you!

Way too many other better options nearby. This place had some of the thinnest walls I’ve experienced at a hotel in Irvine, and I’ve stayed at many of them in the area. Woken up in the middle of the night by people simply walking in the hallway. Woken up in the morning by people next door simply talking. Hearing every movement above and next to you is absolutely unacceptable in a hotel charging $200-250 a night. They make these hotels look nice inside but build them to Super 8 quality and it shows. Will be striking this one off our list for sure. Absolutely not worth it.
