Access Services reviews
19I don't recommend access rides it's not reliable and very slow, thell pick you up 1 hr late from your pick up scheldule
You ask for a 10 o'clock pick up, they say if the driver come around 10 thirty, it is still on-time, thats a lie!
Literally the worst transportation service they pass by your drop off location and decide to go pick up other passengers that are 30 minutes away before dropping you off, they also have you cruising for 2+ hours before dropping you off, you will never be on time even after making your pick up 3 hours in advance RIDICULOUS
Good service. But they expect you to be on time and they're not even on time. They come super late to pick up the passengers. Good customer service. I really recommend it to a lot of people.
You’ll be late for an appointment everytime if u depend on them. Have a 10 a.m pick up and they don’t come until 10: 35 a.m just ridiculous. I don’t understand how they send a car coming all the way from Hollywood to pick up someone all the way in Gardena.
Why is this Access van blocking handicapped parking for 15 minutes at Amazon Fresh? There was plenty of parking. Senior citizens need room to move please. How totally rude
I am a user of these services on the regular especially due to the lack of late night public transit where I work. Yeah rides can take an hour and a half late night sometimes 2 hours on a bad night, but more often than not especially for early morning shifts if I just give myself 2-3 hours wiggle room they get me there with at least an hour to spare if not more.
I realize however it will vary by destination mileage and pickup demand. I love that once you have a route in their system you can repeat it in the app instead of bugging the call center and play around with pickup times till you get the one closest to right for you.
They are not just limited to vans if you are ambulatory. I have been picked up in taxis and even what looked like a tour bus. When tracking your ride a taxi or other than van option will usually be labeled as a sedan and or have a 4 digit id number rather than the usual 6+ digits the vans get.
Is it perfect? No, but what do you want for $2.75 a ride for under 20 miles and $3.75 for over 20 miles?
Access provides a very important and wonderful service.
When their work goes smoothly, all is very well.
But every once in a while, there is a driver who is very problematical.
I had one once who refused to drop my husband, the patient who was using Access, off at all. This driver simply decided that she did not find the right place to drop my husband.
And there were many places she could’ve dropped him. In fact, for the last half hour, she kept him captive in a public parking lot at Westward Ho. Where she could easily have let him out of her van. But she had gotten into a bad mood, or some craziness that she had.
She kept him captive in her van for nearly 45 minutes.
I felt that my husband had basically been kidnapped by her. And I threatened to call the police.
He was a quadriplegic, and he was in agony, and she wouldn’t let him out of the van.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in my life.
And then Access suspended US from using their service.
! $&! $&! $&!
When it works it is fantastic.
When it does not work it is horrendous, horrendous, horrendous.
Today there was a rider in our van that was not cooperating with the Driver's (Julia Prescott) very polite request to put his ample bags in the trunk. He refused, saying his things were not in the way. He even called, while we were were enroute & made a complaint against her. That led all 3 of us other passengers to call in to let them know SHE did everything right & everything she could & he was being a jerk. It turned out that when the FIRST passenger needed to getout, He had so many things on the floor that he had to GET OUT OF THE VAN with them so she could get out. He who claimed "my things are not in the aisle or in anyone's way. " Huh!
Thank you Julia for your patience & looking out for your passengers.
It's a very good for the people of Los Angeles California: too be able to get transportation despite their, handycap/ disability/seniors. So as they may afford transportation to help with their needs to move about in this City / county.as well as state.
These people take 20 minutes to pump their gas. There will be 4+ vehicles and they’re standing around and talking, not even pumping gas, taking up the only 2 gas pumps at SC Fuels, and then after they catch up for 10 minutes, they start pumping gas. Then they sit in the car on their phone for a while before driving away, like can you please move so the rest of us can fill up?
Today 12/8/22 the driver who picked me up, was not wearing a mask and was driving unfastened all the way to my destination. A very rude man who didn’t answer when I said good morning.
Left my elderly and physically disabled mother stranded away from home in the late evening, made her miss numerous doctors appointments by showing up over an hour late, if at all! The worst part is THEY DONT CARE!
Horrible service! Always late, rude customer service, shady practice by submitting false reports. If only it was actually run by competent people this company would be getting good reviews. But alas they brought this upon themselves.
Some drivers doesn’t have considerations blocking the way for other vehicles to pass through in dialysis center and when advising them to be considerate they argued with attitudes. They need to be trained well especially they drive vehicles for patients.
They really need an answer to the difficulties and troubles people all over the county have using this service. I pray they find help.
This is the worst transportation service that i have ever used. The drivers are NEVER on time. Several customers have made complaints and they ignore and continue to provide bad service. I was sent back home from work because i was picked up late. Its the people who works in dispatch. All of them needs to be fired. I would not recommend this service to anyone. Access sucks!
Mario. And Maria were very kind and polite. But the service runs late always and I've been added to their manifest 2xs instead of being on a route. Nathan in Customer service was soooo very patient and polite. He walked through the access app and helped me to get mine working correctly.
The general service needs extreme improvements and upgrading.
Absolutely the worst service Been using for awhile not upset for misc stuff only medical Being denied services because got upset missing a
very important medical appointment Scheduled for 7: 20
and would not be picked up for over an hour late
Appointments mission impossible to get and not able to get
there for it in time Driver to take me was over an hour away
downtown and I live on west side
Now suspend my ability to get to them and more
When try to take care of only get message for getting
certified report and nothing else with no response
cannot talk to anyone so does others trying to help to get rides back Can no longer go places get rides for needed stuff
All get run around no response or help to rectify stuff Get transfer to message line no one to talk to about what happened Only fill out certification what happened and not get upset again
