Ace of Spades reviews
26Best place for a punk rock concert in Sacramento. I will forever be a fan. I love it here so much. The setup is perfect even as a small venue.
Great venue the staff were friendly and helpful, the stage, sound and lighting is great, and the atmosphere is amazing. The layout for shows is very good as well. I would like to see a show here again when visiting Sacramento again.
I love this venue. It has some of the best bands and you can have a great view from the very front to the very back.
"Made this account soley for the purpose of leaving this review. Love the venue itself, issue with the security though. A security member picked my group and I out of line as we were approaching the enterance and claimed he had been observing our behavior throughout the evening, told us we’re to wasted to enter the venue and told us to leave immediately. It was completely unexpected and uncalled for as we had been in line about 10 minutes and none of the members of my group we’re intoxicated. No breathalyzers, no police called (I’m 18 years old, rest of group is 19), allowed me to drive away with friends from event (car parked across street from venue). If security truely believed I was intoxicated I don’t believe they would allow me to drive away with 4 other “ intoxicated “ members in my car. Sadly will never be returning to this venue along with my group members. "
My daughter had the same experience, and guess what THEY WON'T REFUND!
Security just ripped out something from customer without even saying, isn't that a form of harrassment? Security pick on people who cannot defend themselves and deny entry without refund. I suppose that's how they make profit. This place should be shut down from the conduct and behavior of their security, and guess what THEMANAGER CONSENT
THE BEHAVIOR OF HIS SECURITY. A Bunch of racist too!
Great venue to see some live music and plenty of bartenders and the staff has got everything dialed in.
I had an amazing time! The employees are just fabulous. Answering questions or just helping out they are the best! I will be coming back for more events for sure! #Voidz 07/31/18
Great venue. Not too large or too small. Lots of great food options nearby. Security can be a little unfriendly but that isn’t the point. Leave your mace in the car or at home.
This time we sat in the premium seats upstairs. I liked it! It would have been better if we both had been able to sit, but there was a miscommunication, and we were treated great. The service was very good after a rather long wait at first. The server more than made up for it. The show for Blue October was short but it was good! Love the new stuff! The entire experience in the premium seats was great! Can't wait go again!
This is one of the best concert venues in the area. I would like it a little better if they had benches around the perimeter but other than that the sound is great.
Drinks are a bit on the expensive side for what you get ($11 for Fireball. I'll pass) but that's my only real complaint, the sound quality there is consistently very good
Always came to this location for concerts, came for an art show and I was amazed. Especially with Treehouseclub design's booth. He had such amazing art work and custom jewelry
Smoking area is very small. Acoustics are mediocre at best but it is a very small venue. Extremely well mixed in genre of artists and very good security.
It's worth it to buy VIP seats. Staff is great. Have never had their food as it's just to crowded with so many people passing you to go smoke outside. We always eat before we go.
Love this place, however they recently started having VIP spots in the stage bar section and those tables are in front of the place where GA ppl stand and its hard to see the stage there now
Pretty good venue but not for elaborate light shows. Music often very loud, recommend hearing protection. Seating is very limited and much of it costs extra.
My sister was assaulted in the crowd during a performance a group of guys tried to rob her of her jewelry by choking her and bending her fingers back to take her rings, both security and the police were notified but neither really attempted to do anything about it
We've been here a few times and it's always a good experience. I really like that its not too big. Makes the shows more intimate. And they always have plenty of security.
Medium sized but still an intimate venue that seems to have some of the better bands that come to Sacramento. Got to check out the upstairs finally the other night, it's small but has a pretty cool view.
This venue is just a tad bit cozy for my liking at times. Recently the fans for certain venues are hella rude. Sitting is limited and you can buy upgraded VIP seats. Lastly they have 4 bars. Staff always keeps you feeling safe.
An amazing venue and intimate setting for seeing great performances. The staff is friendly and respectful, and the bartenders do not skimp! Also did an amazing job of keeping the place well ventilated and temperature controlled despite the enormous crowd that was there that evening.
