Action Sports, Bakersfield CA

The folks at Action Sports were kind enough to submit a warranty claim for a Trek bike I’ve had for the better part of 16 years. (Not to the fault of Action Sports) Trek wasn’t able to honor it indicating the problematic area on the bike was not covered by their lifetime warranty plan. They decided to give me 20% off a new bike or frame. Suffice it to say, I took them up on this offer. I was in communication with the people at Action Sports and they were able to help me make a choice on a new bike. They were very kind, patient and knowledgeable in their recommendations. They weren’t pushy in the least bit. After purchasing the bike, I went to the bike shop to pick it up. They were able to install a rear cassette that I purchased, install a suitable chain protector and gave it a last-minute tune-up. A bike fit was performed by Kerry. It was spot on after having ridden the bike for the first time the following day. Kudos to Kerry. The bike is a huge upgrade from my previous one and I am thoroughly enjoying it, money well spent. Thanks goes to the folks at Action Sports! I would definitely recommend them!

I absolutely love the bike, it's such a pleasure to ride! I participated in a "Spooktacular" cycling event in Bakersfield today and succesfully completed it. The bike worked like a charm. Earlier in the week, I picked up a pair of bib shorts from Action Sports. They had a great deal going on so I had to grab one! I used them in today's ride. They too worked like a charm.

Having a local bike shop like Action Sports is essential for cyclists in our town thanks for all your help.

I upgraded to a new road bike and as usual Action Sports has plenty of inventory. The staff is very knowledgeable. Mathew Van Horn worked with me to get the bike setup perfectly. I came in a few days later to add a GPS bike computer and worked with David D. David took the time to help get the computer setup on my phone and bike. Always outstanding service and the staff work together as a team. Very professionally run operation.

Bike was ready before promised date. Service advisor friendly, knowledgeable and articulate. Quality parts and accessories are, (seemingly), always available. The staff is welcoming and it creates an enjoyable shopping experience. Thanks Kerry and Sam, you've hired a great staff.

I have purchased 2 bicycles from Action sports. Kerry and his team are very knowledgeable and helpful. I was new to cycling when I made my first purchase over 4 years ago. I have upgraded since and have alway received excellent service. There are always plenty of personnel on hand to provide excellent advice and assistance. I love that everyone seems to know my name. I highly recommend the energetic team at Action Sports!

Great selection of bicycle and parts. When I bought my bike there they did a custom fit. I also get a discount on tune-ups for the life of the bike. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Always friendly.
Some years later, my bike was damaged in an accident. The team at Action Sports did an estimate, ordered the parts, and got the bike running again as good as new.

All I can say is Awesome unusual to get Excellent service these days. Went to get have a repair done on my electric bike. All the people there were great from start to finish!

I had hit a bump that knocked out my E bikes ability to access pedal assist the day before my trip to Pismo Beach. The staff worked tirelessly to get my bike fixed and for the next four days I will be riding my E bike on the trails and the beaches on my last vacation days before I start picking up my grandkids from school!

Love this place. Everyone from the cashier to bike tec staff to the owner. Everyone here is amazing friendly and seriously helpful. Lived in LA came here 1 time and will always go back. Thanks guys. If you to stop say hi to voodoo Sam. That little dude is awesome

I needed “clip in” cycling shoes and Matt was just the young man to guide me in the best direction of fit, comfort, style and newest technology!
Matt was extremely knowledgeable in sizing and patient as I tried on 6 pairs of shoes until he found “the perfect pair” for me!

I’ve bought two bikes from Action Sports. The advice I received was great, not just a salesperson but a knowledgeable cyclist. The service department is incredible, both the service writers and the mechanics. I can’t recommend Action Sports highly enough.

I bought a Garmin GPS and on the way out of the store the owner asked if I had ever set one up and if I had a few minutes to spare for him to help me set it up.

Huge inventory with everything I needed, plus more! Lots of helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great customer service!

Unless you want to spend more on labor than the actual products youre buying than this is the place for you! Keep in mind, I have "Lifetime service" on my bike that I originally purchased, which apparently doesnt cover any service done to the bike! For new tubes, tires, and handlebars was under $100 but once its all said and done it costs over $200 for labor! I dont know what PhD certified technicians you have working but over 100% of the price markup for labor is a scam. Be EXTREMELY cautious and Demand a final itemized receipt before you pay for ANYTHING because this company will not hesitate to blindside you, and keep their labor fees a secret until you show up to pick up the bike
