Active Church, San Luis Obispo CA

I started going to Active my freshman year of college. I am now a junior and I am beyond thankful for the impact this church has had on my life. The community I have been surrounded by the past few years has shaped me and helped me to continue pursuing a relationship with Christ.

Kind of a late review, but I attended church here for the Easter service since I was on the area on vacation. I really enjoyed the service. If I ever move to the SLO area this would be the church I would go to.

My wife and I were looking for a church here in SLO that was easy to get involved with and Active has been a perfect fit for us. Plain and simple, they preach the Gospel, love people and have fun doing it.

This church has become my family! So thankful I walked into Active Church over a year ago. God has used it to completely change my life, my friend's lives, and my family's lives. If you are looking for a real, authentic, fun place to worship God, grow in your walk, and be supported by a loving community, come on out! We would love to have you!

God is using Active Church to change me in so many incredible, life-giving ways. With an emphasis on Christ, life groups, serving, community, giving and loving out of the overflow- this church gave me the family, support, and purpose I had been missing (and searching for), for years. I was in a dark, insecure, and lonely place. But I found a family in Active that cares and loves so intentionally, they radiated encouragement and brought me to a place of strength, hope, and light.

The joy in the atmosphere and contagious smiles are about so much more than a happy feeling on Sundays, but a daily orientation around Jesus that truly makes a difference. I knew from the happy tears I cried over a year ago, God brought me to a place of challenge and empowerment where I would learn to love myself and others well. And it has done exactly that.

You will find open hearts, open doors, friendly and humble serve teams who go the extra mile, genuine and loving pastors and leaders, incredible kids care, deep and real life groups, amazing worship, homeless ministries and recovery ministries, encouraging sermons with helpful bullet slides, heartfelt prayer, and people everywhere who just really really want to love well, to the best of their ability, through every detail they possibly can. I've never experienced a church like this before- it's truly amazing.

I am so excited for all the beautiful and excellent ways Active will continue to impact myself, others, and the community.

Active Church is a very welcoming church. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a high five, yummy donuts and some fresh coffee. Worship is always excellent and Adam shares thoughtful, relatable messages every week. Highly recommend! Plus its downtown location makes it easy to get to brunch after service!
