Adalberto's Mexican Food reviews
19Simply unfresh, greasy, and tasteless food. Even rice and chips were awful. I mean, how often does it happen that rice tastes bad?
This place is our go to for carne asada fry cravings but last night we went in and we were treated so badly. The worker telling us they were gonna close in an hour so for some reason that meant that we can’t sit down and eat we would have to take it to go. (We live far and wanted to eat it fresh) so we begged them to let us sit, it was such a strange experience. They definitely need more friendly staff at this place. Such a bummer.
A wonderful place to eat, seating is limited but the flavor is not. This place is home to some of of best workes in San diego. Friendly staff that make amazing food at great prices.
Love this spot. Best Carne Asada plate in San Diego. Service is always great. I go there every Tuesday after my mens group at the Rock Church Point Loma.
Food was made quickly, even with a group of customers ahead of me. Salsa bar has free chips with spicy carrots, onions, and jalapenos.
Food is great. But good luck with delivery via Uber Eats. It's 1.6 miles away and they delivered my food to God knows where. Called the driver 3 times. Voicemail. Called the restaurant 2 times. Voicemail. Done with this place for good.
My son had enchiladas, my husband has carnitas tacos and I had potato tacos. I liked my tacos hard shell. That's how they made them. Not small tacos either. The carnitas meat was very good. Sometimes other restaurants have their meat over cooked. Not here. Very moist and delicious. My son enjoyed the horchata drink. That was good too! I'll go back again
Decent breakfast burritos, and their pickled carrots are hysterically huge, as well as tasty. They must be made out of mutant carrots though, because some of them are over 2 in in diameter!
Fast and cheap Mexican food. Very glad to see they've bought back their salsa bar post COVID. I get one of the specials and there's usually enough beans and rice alone to make two meals.
Best chicken tostada in town. I gotta thing for chicken tostada and Adalbertos on Rosecrans is the best by far. Under 5 bucks, a corn tortia cooked when you order it with a schmear of refrieds on bottom, topped with generous portion of chunks of stewed boneless chicken, lettuce, mexi cheese blend and top it with salsa verde and rojo. That's all I order every time because of its awesomeness.
Good stuff! Huge burrito, probably a can's worth of beans and tons of rice. Fork shown is typical size! I felt like I wanted lettuce or something on my burrito.maybe next time I'll explore the menu more.
Best burrito on the planet! ~ Been eating here since 1995.established in 1988. Best thing about Aldalberto's (Rosecrans Blvd). Just the exact same as it was 27 years ago. Have not changed one thing.absolutely incredible! ~ Submarines die for these burritos!
Great Mexican food! I’m usually not a fan of Mexican food but this place serves really tasty burritos.
California burrito was simply amazing. It has cheese, sour cream, potatoes, sauces, and steak inside. We got the steak replaced by the chicken, you could go either shredded or grilled.
Rolled tacos were good too. They serve carrots along with complimentary chips.
The service was quite quick and the servers were extremely friendly.
Some of the best Mexican food in San Diego. Walk up to the counter and say, "Can I have a California Burrito? " You won't be disappointed.
Please change your hours. I drive 20 min to eat here and you were closed. Hours for Sunday are incorrect. Waste of expensive San Diego gas.
Excellent food as always. Every time I visit San Diego I have to stop in for a California burrito. Very friendly staff. I love this place.
The service is always really fast and the food is absolutely amazing. You have to try the carne asada fries! It comes in a half order as well! So much great food.
Spent the day in point loma looking for my last stop of mexican before I fly back to ohio and cry about not having the same quality around me. I stumbled into Adalberto's after looking around the area which had plenty of mexican options. But I knew what I was looking for; small shop, small (er) menu, and on the cheaper side. These three rules usually equates to a great restaurant that specializes in their craft. Which is tacos and burritos for Adalberto's case. I got three tacos Pollo Asado, Adobada and Carnitas. Everything was fresh and hot. The Carnitas had a great crunch and tender bite. The Pollo Asado was grilled fresh and bright with orange and citrus flavors. The Adobada was rich with porky chili flavor. Add a drink, free chips, salsa, pickled carrots and jalapenos for $14 bucks. Absolutely incredible deal for the area. If you're on your way to the airport end your trip here and fall asleep on the plane happy and content.
Best burrito in a LONG time

I ordered a veggie burrito & it was barely $6, & the biggest one I’ve ever seen for a take-out chain in San Diego. It was DELICIOUS. They had lots of each topping inside, the sauce was amazing, the price was amazing, & the super fast & friendly customer service was amazing. Will literally go out of my way to eat from this shop now!:)
