ADAMS COMPLETE AUTO REPAIR reviews
10 DO NOT USE THIS SHOP - VERY DISHONEST!
I brought my car in for an oil change and when I was leaving I noticed the low tire pressure light was on. It was NOT on when I brought the car to him!
So I told Adam and he said to bring it in the next day. He could have easily taken a look at it and filled the tire with air right then but he didn't. He is not a friendly or welcoming guy at all. I got the feeling he couldn't be bothered to take 5 minutes to help me.
I did not have time to bring it to him the next day which was unfortunate because that evening when I was on the freeway, the tire blew. Luckily I was able to pull off safely. I called AAA and they came and put on the spare tire. I now have to replace both tire (it's not fixable) and the one on the other side because of there would be a difference in tread depth if I just replaced the blown tire.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with the tire when I brought it in! Without doubt, hey caused the issue because the bill stated they checked the tire pressure and adjusted to factory. Something must have happened as a result of their mistake.
- UPDATE
The owner's response below is completely untrue! I didn't go anywhere but sat parked in my vehicle making a phone call. That's when I noticed the low pressure indicator was on. So I called Adam over and that's when he said I should come back the next day! It's not possible that I ran over a nail because I didn't drive anywhere!
There is another review where the owner blames the customer for causing a problem that Adam clearly did and he doesn't take responsibility. He is not an honest man. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Again. Adams Complete Auto Care has done it again. My 2006 Pontiac Solstice had major problems. Computer Problem and Other computer problems. What did Adam Chewie and Eddie do, They Diagnosed the problem and took positive action to fix the problem. Adam even gave me a Loner car to drive until they fixed the problem. What can I say. Adams Complete Auto Care is the best Auto Shop in the United States. I will never stop taking my car to Adam. Adam is the best off the best. Gilmore.
Don't go this place. I did change the engine oil (bring my oil and filter). Guys were nice and friendly and i recommend my friend this place. He changed also engine oil (oil and filter bought from here).
Than after about 500 and 1000 miles, our oil sensors alarming that oil is dirty. Never have this problem before (our milage is 30k and 45k Japan cars)
Looks like guys just simulated oil change but never did it.
Adam is a knowledgeable mechanic and wonderful person. The whole crew is amazing. I have been there twice, and each time, it was the best experience I could have. They are efficient, honest, and experienced. I recommend him to my friends and family and you'll be happy using their service as well.
Adam's Complete Auto Repair is truly a blessing and an auto shop you can trust. I have taken my Kia here for diagnostic tests, oil changes, engine issues, etc, and Adan is always fast, efficient, kind, and extremely honest. He will call you with the diagnostic and pricing before he does any work, and doesn't push anything more than the minimum that needs to be done. I even had my roommate take her car here for a diagnostic, and they told her her car was completely fine and they didn't try to add on any service to overcharge her. Whenever I pick up my car, it's exactly how I left it as they're very tedious in the quality of their work and are cautious with every vehicle they handle. I recommend all my friends and coworkers to bring their cars here because I know they won't be disappointed!
This place has earned my trust so far.
I’m not a car guy. But I presented them with my issue and they basically gave me two options: one “legit, full price” option and another “cheap, will get you by for now” option. He explained it in easy terms and I don’t know how much longer my car will last anyway, so sometimes you just want a cheaper option (and it was just to fix my AC so there’s no safety concern).
Will go back next time I need to!
I highly recommend Adams and will definitely be going back if/when my car is in need! It isn't easy to find quality service in Los Angeles for a car with a manual transmission (there are mechanics who actually don't know how to drive a stick!), especially for a woman (as women are regularly taken advantage of by auto mechanics), but Adams treated me seriously and with respect. I'm not going to say they were cheap - no car repair/service is cheap - but I didn't feel they overcharged me or tried to sell me things I didn't need (even an oil change, which is usually the first go-to for easy money). They were super nice and finished with my car the same day. The bonus is that they're in my neighborhood! Like I said, I'll be going back the next time my car needs help.
Great service with quick turnaround, and everyone on the team was very friendly. I would definitely recommend!
Knew exactly what to do with fair prices. Didn’t use aftermarket parts. Would definitely recommend. They do any type of cars. Fixed up my 08 Audi A4
