Adkt LA reviews
16 Had a great time at ADKT and the service was great! Definitely order the seaboard, châteaubriand, and chocolate mousse - and the old fashioned!
Great place for a girls night out, celebration, date night, or just a nice dinner.
ADKT is a hidden gem in LA, where French and Japanese influences create an unforgettable dining experience. We had the sea bass, chateaubriand, and lobster, and they were absolutely divine! The fusion of flavors was outstanding. It's a dreamy spot for a romantic dinner. The service was impeccable, and the live jazz band added a magical touch to the evening. For anyone seeking a romantic night paired with incredibly delicious and distinctive dishes, this place is an absolute must-try!
Are you kidding me. I am pretty angry about the 18% service fee. After delayed food. Then giving me a drink I didn’t order, but still charged me for. Then an 18% service fee explicitly called out as not gratuity.
First time there and the food was so so good. Also my server was really attentive and made great recommendations!
We celebrated my sister’s 60th birthday here. It was a memorable night. And we’re so grateful that they made us feel so special.
General Manager came through on all our requests. Thank you Yvonne.
Staff was absolutely awesome. Experienced and just lovely attitude. Nathan was just amazing.
Bartenders made the most awesome drinks. Just out of this world.
DJ was fabulous.
People can’t stop talking about the food. Everything was delicious and beautifully served.
And the restaurant speaks for itself. Such a great vibe.
Thank you ADKT
Mandy and family!
This place was amazing! I did an early birthday dinner here and I was super pleased. I got the filet mignon and I have literally been dreaming about it ever since. The vibes are really cute and they have a DJ there. I Will for sure be going back!
Wow! What an awesome restaurant. The food was French forward, but borrowed from Japanese, American, etc, traditions. The servers were attentive and informative. Morgan served us well; in French and English. This restaurant is for people who appreciate culinary art and fine cuisine in a chic ambience. The cocktails were among the best I had ever had. Great date spot! I highly recommend it.
The atmosphere is very nice and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately the food portions are tiny and drastically overpriced compared to other fine dinning restaurants like Mastroes. $20 for a tiny portion of potatoes, $70 for 1/2 mediocre lobster. With these prices the food should be amazing but its mediocre at best. The service is super slow. 45 minutes to get drinks. 30 minute gaps between appetizer and mains. When the Food finally came out no one had plates or utencils. With 1/2 restaurant being empty these things should not happen. Get ready to spend $450 a couple. We would never come back.
This is going to come off as a paid ad because I am over-the-moon about this restaurant. The overall atmosphere was beautiful, luxurious, and true to French style. The staff was extremely friendly, Mark (the GM) and the Michael (chef) even came over on several occasions to speak with us. As someone who is now gluten-free, it is extremely rare that I get to eat what my boyfriend eats when we go out to restaurants, so I was pleasantly surprised when I was told that all of their best courses were gluten-free (I’m not sure about celiac friendly). This was the most mouthwatering meal we’ve had in our whole year of living in downtown. Still dreaming about the steak. Completely worth the price & I will be coming back here. Try it while it’s still new before this becomes the most popular speakeasy in WEHO/BH area. My only warning is to hold off on the water unless you actually want a whole bottle as I wasn’t expecting it to be $12.
What we got—
Steak Tartare: wow. The flavor combo here was genius. I’m new to Tartare, so the concept still grosses me out but I couldn’t be bothered by it because the taste of the steak, radish, egg yolk, caviar, bone marrow was far too amazing. 10/10
Chateaubriand: if French onion soup was a steak, it would be this. We got perfect medium rates that cut like butter. I normally get full off an 8oz steak and this felt like a great portion for the price. I will dream about this steak for wayyy too long. My boyfriend even devoured the onions which is his least favorite food item. 12/10
Potato pave: I’ve never been a huge fan of this style but couldn’t stop eating theirs. 10/10
Potato frites: If you like more of a battered fry, this is for you. The truffles are also thickly cut. They weren’t for me but my boyfriend loved them, especially dipped in the steak sauce. 7/10
Chocolate mousse: super fluffy & chocolatey. Used some of the berries from the other dessert & that was WOW. 8/10 alone 10/10 with strawberries
Berry Variation: did not expect the texture but was soooo delicious. 10/10
Drinks—
Sakura: if blue raspberry was a drink—super tangy but sweet. Did not taste the alcohol, so I could probably drink half a dozen. So so good. 10/10
Penicillin: tasted like a slap in the face to me but my boyfriend claims it was amazing. 8/10
My recent visit to ADKT was a major letdown. The prices were outrageously high, the service was painfully slow, cocktails came out well after food, and the portions were ridiculously small. I left feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. The food had a few stand outs but not enough to make me come back.
Heck yeah! Now that was a unique fine dining speakeasy restaurant. It's easy to become discouraged or skeptical after reading the reviews, but since it's all subjective I figured it's best to just experience the restaurant for myself- considering the chef has an amazing reputation for French/Japanese cuisine. My opinion. DELICIOUS and guys great job to with the attention to the plate garnishing.
The dim lighting and design kinda makes you feel hidden in art. Considering Hollywood is a busy environment, it's nice to have a place like this to retreat to while tasting hand crafted food and drinks. I could drink 20 of the vibrant purple looking Sakura drink! Such a creative looking spot to take photos in.
Job well done to the cooks, bar and staff:)
This restaurant far exceeded my expectations! From the moment we arrived (red carpet at the entrance!) to the end of our experience, staff was so kind and helpful. They have a sommelier to help pair their wine selection with your food, a live DJ and from what I hear they’ll have performances at their grand opening this week (June 29). The food is a fusion of French and Japanese which makes for the perfect balance of meat and seafood. The food is plated with elegance featuring gold flakes and caviar. The ambiance is sultry and sexy, the kind of place you might spot celebrities ;) Our group had a great time! If I could recommend one thing it’d be the Raw Bar Plateu.
The space is nice but the food is alright and the service isn’t so great. Our order was incorrect. The experience wasn’t worth the price.
Underwhelming food and service. Went on a Saturday night and was met with lackluster service (e.g. A waiter dropped a glass and the broken glass sat on the floor for a full 10 mins before anyone picked it up) and absurdly small portions for the price. I ordered champagne and received a very small pour (less than half a glass) and laughably small vegetable sides to the mains. Potato gratin was on a plate smaller than the bread plate. The fish was cooked well but overpriced.
Adkt is absolutely terrible when it came to the service. I went with my girlfriend and brother and we were thinking we were heading into a speakeasy for a couple drinks before getting dinner. It ended up being a club looking dinner venue. The waitress kept pressuring us to order dinner. We ordered a few items just to make the interaction less awkward as she kept crowding our table nonstop. The food was not great whatsoever. We ordered sweetbread and the red fin tuna and we all spent the whole night throwing up from the Tuna. The irony is their busing staff came and took the food midway while we were literally eating it. I told him we’re still working and he continued to ignore what I mentioned and took our food. I even mentioned it to the waitress and she completely ignored it. They said the chef was Michelin star. I’ve been to plenty of Michelin star restaurants and this one was absolutely horrendous if so. The icing on the cake of a bad meal, getting sick, the staff taking the meal before you can even eat it, was they’ll deliver you a check with multiple surcharges, turning $200 into $500 with hidden fees. I will never go back to this place. For a restaurant just opening, this is one that will fall on it’s face. I’m still annoyed that they charged us for food that they literally didn’t even let us eat, it’s appalling and you probably think I’m joking. I kid you not, the staff acted like they were on drugs.
Visited ADKT LA on opening weekend for a girls’ night out and had the most incredible experience. Service was absolutely incredible, special thanks to our amazing waitress Jacque! Every dish was delicious and the sommelier assisted us with pairing the perfect wine for our meal! The restaurant has a beautiful and sexy vibe and the DJ for the night was great! Look forward to my next visit!
