Dr. Lauber changed my skin! I'm 30 years old and I have been struggling with acne for as long as I can remember. I had been putting off Accutane for years and years and it was time to find a final solution to my acne. After 6 months on Accutane, like Dr. Lauber promised, I have "movie star perfect skin"! I'm so so happy and would recommend anyone and everyone to visit Dr. Lauber. He's the best!

Dr. Lauber is the man! Found him on Yelp and so glad I did. Doc gave me a quote for my first consultation over the phone and I agreed to it. When I arrived at his office I was presented with great vibes! Long story short, I was getting this rash checked out on my abdominal area and instead of him beating around the bush about his diagnosis on the rash he gave it to me straight. He didn’t recognize it, told me to continue using the steroid cream (the correct way) I had brought in for two weeks straight. If it doesn’t get better then we’ll move on to get a biopsy which is a bit extreme but he was transparent about that. Dr. Lauber didn’t end up taking my money which I greatly appreciated! However, I really found satisfaction in the fact that he was transparent with me, eager to solve this problem and overall just a genuine person! Really hate to say this but you can’t find many other like him!

I'll try to be brief, since all the other 5 star reviews have already covered it. If you are a hypochondriac, like me, that meticulously chooses their doctors please consider Dr. Lauber. I urge you to not be intimidated by the initial phone call; Dr. Lauber has to weed through countless flakes and people seeking to waste his time, so he gets right to the point. But I assure you, when you meet him in person and talk with him you will be surprised by how kind he is. His bedside manner is incredible. He will sit down with you, answer any questions you may have and he will ease your anxiety. You will never feel rushed and you will be glad you took the step to see him in person.

Lastly I'll say, that after seeing him for almost 6 years now, I consider him a friend. He holds to the old school value that a solid patient/doctor relationship is critical for quality care.

Caring, expert, professional, and no BS, Dr Jeff Lauber has been my go to skin doctor nearly 30 years. He is never afraid to tackle difficult cases but also knows when to consult with others.

My family and I have been his patients for 32 years! The best dermatologist in CA.he will tell you exactly what you medical problem is and take care of it immediately.his medical work in meticulous and he very intelligent. You can be sure you are getting the best treatment possible.

Dr. Lauber is the best! I woke up a few days before my wedding with a cyst. I had gone to Dr. Lauber a few years before for the same issue but was kicking myself for not keeping his info. I did a quick Yelp search for derms and when i saw the pictures i knew i had found him again! He made a same day appt for me, i came in and he helped tremendously, even giving his cell phone number! He gave me medication and the next morning i called him when the cyst came to a head. I was in his office within an hour and he truly saved the day, and my wedding! He is wonderful and so helpful, stop reading reviews and call him now!

One day I had a small scab in my ear which I had picked and didn't realize it it became very infected Oh, I thought it was a bug bite it's swelled up the side of my face, I called dr. Lauber he said he doesn't do bug bites but go get it looked at right away oh, thank God he did they put me on heavy antibiotics and because of his it's save me a couple of nights in the hospital. He knows his stuff

I can't imagine having chosen a different doctor. I think back to my initial phone call with him. He laid everything out, was direct and cut through all the BS. Thinking back now, I don't think he was trying to be rigid but rather just someone that wants to make sure everyone has the same expectations. Zero confusion with zero misunderstandings.
He is extremely knowledgeable and cares about you and your condition. I have never felt like I was just a number in a revolving door of patients. He is very engaging and makes the visit enjoyable. Deciding to have him as my doctor was a pivotal moment that changed my life. I'm so glad I did not choose another doctor. Do yourself a favor and go with him. He is extremely knowledgeable, very personable, and a good dude. A+

No nonsense dermatologist that knows his stuff, holds no punches, asks all the right questions, and provides a solution. If he doesn't know the answer or can't provide the service, he's quick to refer someone who can.

This IS the dermatologist you want on your side who has your best interests at heart. Just don't get all whiney when the topic of health insurance comes up. Bring your credit card, pay the doc for his service and rest easy knowing you are in great hands! WARNING - He will personally call you and provide service you aren't used to with other skin doctors. That service continues throughout the office visit and afterwards. Can you handle that?

For those of you who watch Curb Your Enthusiasm. Dr. Lauber is a mix between Larry David with the dermatology prowess of a special forces sniper. Mission will be accomplished, and you will be entertained in the process, or have a good laugh but leave with confidence your concerns were listened to AND addressed.

If you have a poor sense of humor, get offended easily, and are uptight in life, live to be politically correct, it's in your best interest to find one of those watered down dermatologists elsewhere.

What can I say about Dr. Lauber that people don’t already know.when coming to Dr. Lauber you are signing up to get the most knowledgeable, most reliable, and most accessible dermatologist in all of California (dare I say the world). Additionally, Dr. Lauber will communicate with you on a personal level, detailing treatment every step of the way to put your mind at ease. If you have attended a “hack” Dr.beforehand, Dr. Lauber will tell you, believe me he has that eye for the business. If Dr. Lauber did not choose to attend med school he would most likely either be a world class comedian or take Fallon’s job as host of the tonight show, but I - and you - should thank our lucky stars he chose to be the best dermatologist out there. 5 stars all the way.

There are good Drs, great Drs, the best Drs then Dr Lauber. I have been seeing him since before I was a teenager and am in forties now. He has cured myself and my family of ailments ranging from eczema to skin cancers and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. (Spotted a skin cancer in my wife’s hairline that had been missed by other Drs and probably saved her life). He answers his own phones, follows up after diagnoses on Saturday’s and Sunday’s and almost never makes you wait in waiting room. He has great stories and even better treatment programs. He has the ability to think outside of the box with treatments that actually work the first time instead of following an algorithm that would waste several trips and months of failed attempts. Do yourself a favor and go to Dr Lauber the first time, you won’t regret it.

Dr. Lauber is AMAZING! I have never had a doctor return my call on a day he wasn’t even in the office. Not only that, he came in to see me on a Sunday at his office. He could tell I was stressed about what was happening to my skin and listened and asked all the right questions to figure out what viral infection I had. He knew exactly what I had over the phone. He was so nice and so thorough and explained everything to me in a way I could understand. I am so glad I found a trustworthy dermatologist near me. I highly recommend Dr. Lauber if you’re looking for a doctor who really cares about his patients and is very knowledgeable about dermatology. He’s the best!

Tl;dr Make the call. Or email him, whatever floats your boat. You have nothing to lose and if you're like me, it'll be one of the best calls to a doctor that you'll ever make.

Found Dr. Lauber from a Yelp search and figured that I had nothing to lose by calling. He personally picked up the phone, asked what I wanted to come in for, and told me exactly what he could offer immediately, no time wasted. No sales pitch, no attempt at trying to sell any products, just straight to the treatment. Bring him food, he'll love you. Seriously. Pro tip. (Psssst, bring him pho, he'll love you even more.)

He's very honest-perhaps too honest to the point where some other reviewers got offended, but take his humor for what it is and you'll see that he truly cares about his patients. He isn't just picking on you. Not until he knows you well, at least, then it's fair game. To be fair, I jab back with my own fair share of comments too. ;)

I've been to countless of other doctors. Some take one glance at you and immediately turn their back on you. Some try to sell you products that you obviously know that they either 1) are paid to promote the product or 2) have a role in producing said products. Some stare at you for a long moment, then proceed to ramble on about possible treatments, despite the fact that you're trying to tell them that yes you've heard this before and no they didn't work last time and no you're convinced that they still won't work this time. Dr. Lauber doesn't do any of that. He takes his time with each any every patient and only gives you treatment that you need. He also has a tub (it's really that big) of free samples and a couple of jars of candy that I may or may not have dug through.

He works on Sundays. What dermatologist do you know works on Sunday? If you have a busy schedule or if you have kids that just can't come in on weekdays because of school, he'll work with you to accommodate your schedule, whether it requires him to come in early, stay late, or come in on a Sunday. He does take Fridays off though, so do keep that in mind.

If this wall of text still doesn't convince you, he also offers life advice and has life stories to back up said advice. Ask him. He'll give you more advice than you'll know how to handle. ;)

Do it. Make that call or email. That limbo of searching for a suitable dermatologist won't make your problem any better. Dr. Lauber will. Or at the very least, he'll know exactly who can make that problem better. Do it. Tell him that you'll bring in pho and he'll be thrilled. Just keep that promise or else he'll forever remind you about it.

I had serious eczema on my face and visited 2 dermatologists but they couldn't treat it. Then I saw Dr. Lauber and he was the only one who knew what was going on on my skin and treated it comletely! Now my skin issue is gone, and I'm about to take my 3yr old to him. Her eczema is becoming serious but I know I'm in a good hand:)

Dr. Lauber is the ABSOLUTE BEST! If you are in need of an honest, straight-forward dermatologist, visit Advanced Skin Treatment Center Of Orange County. I developed a bump on my back that would not stop bleeding. I thought it was a pyogenic granuloma (which it was) and he was able to treat me immediately. Initially I was going to receive treatment from my HMO, but going to Dr. Lauber was the better choice. He took his time and answered all of my questions, even ones not related to my pyogenic granuloma. The treatment itself took a few seconds and was painless. This doctor is knowledgeable and exudes amazing energy - this is what every doctor-patient experience should be like. Thank you Dr. Lauber for helping me and my once bleeding bump.

Dr. Lauber is absolutely great. He took the time to meet me on a Sunday and treated my skin issue immediately. He followed up personally for the next week ensuring I was okay. My skin issue was successfully treated and solved after two weeks. He Is very personable and highly qualified. He always mentions how he loves lasagna, so I actually brought him some and he was grateful:)
