I had a great experience with Advantage testing! I prepared for the GRE over the summer, and my tutor, Rob Conant, was absolutely amazing. Rob was extremely patient with me when explaining concepts. He answered all of my questions in a way that was easy for me to understand and made me feel comfortable making mistakes, which allowed me to learn from my mistakes. I appreciate his willingness to keep me accountable in my studying, and help me in a manner that catered to my learning needs and made me feel supported. Rob made a stressful experience as enjoyable as it could be. By the end of the summer, under Rob's help, my score greatly improved from my diagnostic test to my official GRE test; I am happy with my official GRE score. I could not have done it without his help. Definitely recommend!

I used Advantage for both the ACT and LSAT, and if I ever (god forbid) had to take another standardized test I would use them again! Specifically, Rob Conant. I received tutoring at Advantage Testing starting spring semester of my junior year for SAT prep. Although my school offered after-school group study sessions, I found working with my tutor, Rob Conant, significantly more productive. Rob was amazing at pinpointing the topics that I struggled with and helping me improve with targeted practice problems. When I took the SAT for the second time, within a few months of working with him, I had improved my score by 60 points! Afterwards, he helped me with college applications. I never considered myself to be the greatest writer, but Rob was patient and encouraging. He helped me step out of my comfort zone with narrative-style writing, and I couldn't be more pleased with my final essays.

My daughter needed help on the AP Language exam.
Her diagnostic indicated she had a few weak spots. A family member recommended Advantage Testing for tutoring. Caroline G started to work with my daughter and carefully explained detailed strategies for the multiple choice section. Also, at each session, Caroline and my daughter dissected essays sentence by sentence. My daughter ended up passing the exam and declared she would not have been able to pass without Caroline’s help.

After each tutoring session, Caroline sent me detailed explanations of what she worked on with my daughter and needed for the next session.

A friend referred me to Advantage Tutoring in 2022. At the time, I was trying to decide between the GMAT and GRE for business school applications. AT accessed both my practice GRE and GMAT tests and helped determine which test would be better suited for me. I chose Rob Conant as my tutor. From the start, I could tell Rob was honest, open, and not looking to waste any time. In a few month’s time, Rob helped me significantly raise my math scores. Rob not only sharpened my math skills, but also re-shaped my approach to testing and provided in-test strategies. Rob is a brilliant and caring person and really invests in his students. During my preparation for the ISEE test I tried many different tools, websites, and independent tutors, etc.
Not until coming to Advantage Testing did I feel that I was finally making big progress in my journey to conquer my test. In specific I had Dave as Math tutor. When I found out my son, who is in 5th grade, had to take a placement test to get into an out of state school I was in a panic. My friend recommended Advantage Testing, she said her son's ISEE score jumped dramatically after working with his tutor. We had about a month to prepare my son who had never taken a standardized test. His academic stamina was relatively low so I needed someone experienced and someone who understood the ins and outs of standardized tests. Everyone sounded qualified but we chose Marisa because her schedule was most conducive to our timetable. We started off with one hour but immediately bumped it up to 100 minutes as my son really took to her. My son who usually finds school work and any type of extra academic work to be boring and tedious was loving his sessions. Marisa was able to keep my son focused, motivated and even entertained. He was always asking for more time with Marisa and made sure he always did the assignments she gave him. I was amazed by his enthusiasm and his willingness to do the extra work, I had never seen this from him in regards to any school work. They worked closely on vocabulary, reading comprehension and math. I was so impressed by how much everything Marisa said had resonated with him. He went into his second test with so much confidence; he took his time and used the strategies Marisa taught him. Marisa was also a huge help to me by keeping me updated on his progress, explaining the score reports and making sure we confirmed the technical requirements for the online test. We recently received his scores and they increased significantly, over 20%ile points. I was shocked that they went up so much in such a short time. I cannot praise Marisa enough. It was gratifying to see my son take academics seriously and to feel proud of his hard work.

My son worked with Dave at Advantage testing and it was well worth it. First of all, he really enjoyed Dave and Dave made the sessions engaging and as interesting as ACT prep can be. My son was able to achieve a superscore of 35 on the ACT thanks to the help he received from Dave at Advantage and the hard work he put in. I highly recommend Advantage and so glad we went with them.

I worked with tutor Dave Matos during my junior year preparing for the ACT. Prior to working with Dave, I was scoring between 27-28 on practice tests (out of 36), but after working with Dave, I got a 35!

I found Advantage Testing's process very helpful. Every weekend, I would take a proctored practice ACT. During our weekly tutoring sessions after, Dave and I would review the problems I got wrong. Dave quickly found patterns with the questions I was getting wrong, and was able to give very personalized and helpful feedback. Additionally, the homework assignments he would give me would reflect the types of questions I was having trouble with. Based on this method, I very rapidly improved my practice test scores, right from the get-go!

Dave also has a great sense of humor, and he actually made the learning process enjoyable! He truly cares about the success of all his students, and has even helped me with AP Physics and some college essays after I finished the ACT. I would strongly recommend you work with Advantage Testing and Dave if you want to see your ACT/SAT scores dramatically improve! Of course, it will take a lot of studying and discipline on your end, but Dave was always there to support and encourage me.
