Been taking my car to them for the last 3 years and it’s a place I can trust. My car is always in good hands when it’s with them.

I was asked to drop my car off for an oil change, but it took almost 4 hours before I could pick my car up. Not sure why it had to take that long. I had made an appointment too.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE! My 85 year old mother and I brought her car here, because it's right down the street. (She had known the previous owner over 30 years). She got an oil change, air filters, tire rotation and brake fluid exchange. All of this cost her $700! The guy said their labor rate is $170-something per hour!
They also told her that her transmission was leaking and needed to be fixed which was labor intensive and would be $2800! After taking the car to another trusted mechanic who power washed the undercarriage and then told her to drive it for 2 weeks and then come back and he would check it again. This mechanic told us there was absolutely NO LEAK at all. (And his labor rate is $120 per hour). My mother was so relieved about not having to spend $2800! And her car is a 2018 Corolla. No chance this car had a transmission leak.
I don't know who the owners of this place are now, BUT IT SCREAMS ELDER ABUSE! Taking advantage of an elderly woman to try to scam her out of almost $3,000. This place is a trap for the unknowing elderly. I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. I may report them to the BBB as well.

I unfortunately thought this company would still be held to the standards of San Carlos auto repair, it’s definitely not. I took my car in for a headlight bulb change, half way through the repair I was told it would not be $20, but instead $79. Obviously I had to follow through on the repair since it’s illegal to drive without a headlight. I definitely felt taken advantage of in that moment. I also asked them to check the fluids (transmission, brake, etc) and I was sent an estimate for nearly $6,000… because I asked for fluids? Anyway, this was a disappointing appointment to say the least, I won’t be returning to this business.

Good experience, my truck needs to go back to see why engine light came on. But this was a possibility

They performed the two routine services (oil change, tire rotation) satisfactorily, and the work was completed in a reasonable amount of time. However, while I'm aware that prices for everything have been going up these days, I found their prices for services to be excessive. I used a sale coupon for the oil change, and added the tire rotation when I got to the shop, for which they charged me $45.for something that takes all of 10 minutes and no special skills, especially considering my truck was already on the rack for the oil change. Their proximity to my home is convenient, but in the future I'll only use them if I get a coupon or other promotion that drops their prices below highway robbery.

Oil change
I needed a rear wiper but they wanted 76.00 for wiper and placement. Previous owner of 30 plus years always replaced them for free

Outstanding Customer Service. Did not know that Brian, of San Carlos Auto Repair, had sold the business. My records were intact, and my needs were professionally handled!

A bit disappointed with Aero today. Called yesterday for an oil change and overall check up (brakes, transmission, etc.). When I arrived today, they told me that checking the brakes was going to cost $60+ and if I needed replacement they would apply the money to the repairs. It would have been nice if they told me that on the phone. Last time I went to Aero for an oil change (3-4 months ago), they told me that my brakes had 30% left, yet I didn’t ask them to check the brakes that day. Then they told me that I had to wait there 2-3 hours for an oil change, because they were short staffed. I left disappointed. Not sure if I’m going back after being a loyal customer for over 5 years. FYI, the two stars are for the previous owner.
UPDATE: After reviewing the manager's reply to my review I decided to lower my rating from two stars to one star. The service manager didn't 'beg and reason' when I decided to leave when he told me it would take 2-3 hours for my scheduled oil change appointment, he just said 'ok'. There was only one couple at the other counter and one person seating in the lobby. I wasn't asking for special treatment. Normally an oil change is around one hour with a scheduled appointment, I just didn't have time to wait around. He also didn't address the 'bait and switch' with the brakes. If you want to elevate your image per your mission statement, try to be more honest with your customers and hire more technicians. It appears you're always short on mechanics since new ownership took over.

Come over to Aero auto repair they will get you right! They fixed a few leaks and other things on my 2000 Honda Civic and they were very responsive also I really liked how they texted over my invoices with the ability to approve or deny what work I wanted done based on the diagnostic. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a quality mechanic in the area!

Took my truck in for exhaust manifold leak while I would be out of town. Day before I left they called recommending spark plug change, coolant and brake fluid flush, fuel induction cleaning and rear diff service. Declined rear diff service. Was quoted over $2700. Said spark plug service alone would be over $1000, that plugs were $35 apiece. I trusted what they said and because I was leaving town did not have time to research it and ok'd it. Once home researched myself. Dealership quoted $620 for plug change and another reputable garage under $600. Truck is under 9 years old and 90,000 miles. Manual says change plugs at 100,000 and coolant at 150,000. Could have went another year on the plugs but it's close I know. My biggest beef is the price. Went and talked to the woman that was the store manager. When I told her that I searched spark plugs for my truck they were all under $13 apiece. She actually told me that they mark up their parts prices 150%. WOW! That would explain the $35 apiece price. I'm guessing that I overpayed on all the other services I got too. Dealership was 40% cheaper! 40% cheaper! Also when I opened my hood at home airbox wasn't even clamped down and was open. If you don't care about overpaying that's fine. I could go on. Miss the old owners! Trusted them. Not these new owners.

First of all, it did not dawn on me that the dealership was under new ownership. I have taken both my cars to this location for years and trusted them completely. I had an oil change, brake service, and a transmission flush and it came out to almost $450.00. While I did approve the charges, the pricing seemed high. Afterwards I called around and realize now that other shops are much cheaper. I give them a one star because the ladies I spoke to are nice.
