I liked the large outdoor aircraft you can walk around. Inside is great and air-conditioned. Theres a 4360 cubic inch radial engine inside that's pretty cool, a cutaway also. The largest radial ever made, cool.

The museum has a nice collection of refurbished aircraft and a few interesting pieces, but the place is a bit small (about a warehouse worth of exhibit plus the aircraft in the back), so you won't really spend more than an hour or two. I also wish there a bit more in the way of interactive exhibits to keep kids engaged. Still, what was there was really interesting, so if you're into aerospace, you should check out the museum.

Went for The Top Gun After Hours Event and it was great! The open air park is huge! The docents are very knowledgeable and the indoors is air-conditioned.

Great air museum with knowledgeable docents! The Flight Zone is especially cool (& totally worth the small extra charge)!

Very Fun! Went there Yesterday for the first public day for the new A4 in Blue Angeles Paint and everything there is fun and staff is super nice. And all the displays have as much info as you need

Museum staff are always ready to talk about their exhibits. Planes are available for physical contact, some even allow you to sit at the helm. Thanks for the good vibes.

This was our second time here and we came on a Friday around 1pm. No crowds at all so it was very nice for my family of 6. Our favorite part was getting into the FedEx airplane. The boys were excited about that and we chose to eat our lunch on one of the picnic tables under a airplane wing. How cool is that? ! Very reasonable price to enter and the stuff and volunteers are very friendly.
If you enjoy learning about war aircrafts and history this is a museum for you. Small but there's plenty of things to look at and learn.
Oh the Freedom park outside the museum is awesome!

We purchased tickets for an event which was cancelled. We were told we would be notified when it was rescheduled. Today I called for an update since it has been 5 months. Imagine my disappointment when I learned the event had already taken place.

Never was contacted nor sent a refund.

What a terrible customer experience!

It had been years since I've been here. Glad I came back to see what had changed! Great displays for such a small museum. Saw "Old Crow" the rat rod that rolled in the day I was there! There's a place to eat now! It's a great place to take the kids! True aviation fans will appreciate this place!

Visiting Sacramento for a week during Christmas break with my 7 and 2 year old and looking up things to do on the rainy days. I knew my older son would LOVE this as he’s in a plane/jets phase and Santa just brought him an aircraft carrier toy. The staff was awesome, like walking aviation encyclopedias. They answered all my son’s questions in a manner that was appropriate for his age. Very friendly and welcoming. He especially enjoyed the flight simulator. A nice man assisted my child, and shared that he was an Air Force veteran and my son was mesmerized. Not a very big museum, but we still managed to spend 3 hours there between all the activities they had and just looking at the planes and exhibits. Only wish we were able to see the inside of some of these aircrafts!

Note: covid precautions advertised, but not strictly enforced. Even though they have signs up that says masks required, I’d say about 40% of the people there did not have their masks on at all (no mask, or hanging on their chins). And the ones who were wearing them, maybe half had their noses hanging out. Also even though they had hand sanitizer bottles on hands-on stations, none of them were filled or worked. So if covid precautions are important to you, beware.

A really cool place. They have engines from various time periods as well as a few planes in the hanger. Outdoors they have all kinds of planes ranging from WW2 era C-53 to recent day warthog! The mars exploration exhibit was also really nifty but not as big.

There are quite a few volunteers who will come up to speak to you and share their stories and knowledge of the various planes. We were lucky enough to have Richard talk to us about his time in Vietnam and experience in the Air Force. All in all a great place that appears to be growing and getting better.

I very much enjoyed the museum and just amazing that the knowledge that the staff there knows about each plane. I will keep going back that is how much I enjoyed my first experience there

A great concept for sure and when looking at the details of the place you'll see mention of going inside the vehicles. This was asked about when my family and I arrived and was confirmed by the people at the front desk. So we spend $60 for two adults and three children which seems like a fair price all things considered. Kids are super pumped to see inside the planes but first we make our way around the museum and then when we go outside we see that the entrances to all the planes and helicopters are chained off. We inquire as to why and we're told that there aren't enough volunteers to let people in the vehicles. The people outside didn't seem to care about what the people at the front counter are telling people. Big disappointment for the kids for sure, but the museum is still fun for the family. Kids really enjoyed getting close to the massive vehicles and playing both inside and outside of the museum.

The inside of the museum is totally worth checking out though. Lots of exhibits inside that the kids can play on as well as interactive areas where kids can build propellers and little space shuttles then test them. There is also a coloring area and a toddler area upstairs for the kids that are dragged along and really have no interest in aviation. For everyone else there are interesting facts about the history of aviation to be found and interesting exhibits including for some reason prop vehicles from the movie Oblivion. Cool to look at for a few minutes but there are more interesting things to see, especially if you enjoy thinking about the incredible feats of engineering that went into to designing planes and helicopters. There is also a decent little cafe where the food is exactly what you would expect museum food to taste like.

I can tell by reading the other reviews that there are usually more things to do there but so many things were shut down and off limits when I was there apparently due to staff shortages on a Sunday for some reason. Which again was very disappointing after reading about the place before going. So I have to recommend calling and asking ahead of time if they have the staff to have the full experience available to visitors or not.

Took my daughter for the first time and she loved it. Everyone was so nice. We went for the gingerbread activity and the ladies up there were so nice to her and answered all her questions. She's only 4 and they were very patient with her. They did very well keeping all the children entertained during the activity. She definitely learned a lot and was very excited to tell her dad and grandparents about what she learned.

Great place to visit! This museum features a wide variety of aircraft and even has a space section. Fun activities for kids are also available and the flight simulator is quite fun!

Pretty engaging museum with lots of exhibits. Each plane has an info plate so you can learn a little about what makes each plane interesting. You can walk right up and see everything closely.

It wasn't busy when I visited and my friend and I basically got a personal tour by a docent who has actual experience working with some of the aircraft on display. Very knowledgeable and friendly fellow! Staff was accommodating in helping us stash our scooters.

Admission at $15 is a bargain IMO. Expect to spend 2h+ in your visit. I had a schedule to keep and had to rush through a good chunk of the interior, so I wish I spent more time here.

This isn't as large an air museum as others in CA, but definitely does a great job with the space and exhibits it had.

Younger kids would be interested to explore the flight simulator with 3 monitors, almost feels like they are pilots driving the flights. Lot of real aeroplanes and helicopters to see. Nice thing is we can even hop on some of them. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nice place to visit for aerospace enthusiastic people.

Wow! Such an amazing place. Our family really enjoyed our time there and one of the best things there was that they had veterans outside to guide us and gave us the best experience. Love it here and would recommend for children of any age. They also have a playground outside that was so awesome. Absolutely deserves 10 's.
