7Always windy here. But it is a good place to look around Palmdale and Antelope Valley area. Never had no one watching over the lake anytime I drive by. A good rest area when you drove from LA downtown, you have almost come to Lancaster when you get here.
I've spent the 1st 13 years of my life in that spot right now and we moved to Virginia
This place is a strange mix. Its oddly sketchy, loud, serene, and messy, all at once. I always rest here from a long trip back from LA. I smoke my weed, take a glance at the view, and am flooded with thoughts of awe and gratefulness. How can a valley so diminished still produce such intense views?
P.s. Be careful driving in. The runway is unnecessarily short. A good free way to spend time with your girl or man
This was a special visit. While resting a road runner jumped on the car. This is a beautiful rest stop.
A nice place to have some solitude. To either go for a quiet time or to rest before continuing to drive. Rest area and mirador!
On my way to Lancaster' I stop every single time here to see the Lake and Also admiring when snow. Like today.
No room for big rigs or large RVs. Good stopping place for passenger cars.
