I WALK TO CHILL CROSS THE TRACKS AND IT GETS REAL I FIND CLIFFS TO HANG OFF THEN DOWN THE TRAIL IM IN AWW OF THE BREATH TAKING VIEWS ONE WERE MOUNTAINS AND HILLS FIND MEANING WITH WATER IN BETWEEN A HIKE TO START YOUR DAY FINDING FAITH ALONG THE WAY

You can see Garibaldi all along the edges of the water along this trail. Some people don't keep their dogs on a leash here, which is annoying (I'm afraid of dogs, especially when they come running at me. I'm very afraid of being knocked over). There are lots of memorial benches to sit on and take in the views or just sit in the sun and have a picnic. I love walking here.

One of my favorite places to walk. It is a short trail around the lagoon. Often when the water is settled you can see fish from the banks of the trail.

Great fishing spot. There are Halibut, sea bass and more. Best bait to use is live smelt but frozen sardines, frozen anchovies, and frozen squid also work, but the best bait is the smelt or ghost shrimp that are available to catch in the lagoon. Make sure to fish between tides as its dead fishing and your bait drifts too hard with the tide shift. If you want to go on the ocean side there is plenty of rock crabs and sand crabs for sea perch. Great place to go.plenty of parking. Everytime i go fishing never get anything.but a great time it a shame seeing homeless start to camp in there

Went fishing in the lagoon. Caught a sting ray. Not what I wanted but would still recommend

Very nice beach. We enjoyed our short time here. Parking is available by the beach with fee. There’s a lagoon good for fishing and kayaks.

This place is so cool. I have been hiking here so many times. And what's really cool, is that this is a super good spot to go fishing. I also fly my drone here. Excellent for anyone. Great for kids. And it's in Carlsbad. Carlsbad is like one of my favorite cities in southern California. You should totally check this place out.

I like it because I grew up in the area since 1968 and I moved to other city, and I have good memories for my page in my book (life)

There's a little two seat table there so we took our breakfast we bought and ate it there, it was beautiful!

Very nice beach! We are always here doing birthday parties, picnics, walks, surfing, swimming, you name it! Parking can be difficult but if you go early you will find a spot!

Short trail ends under the tracks. Careful if you go up to the tracks. The train comes quick.
