Ahi Sushi, San Diego CA

We just had the best dinner here! The two rolls + a miso soup special was perfect and so delicious. Roy and his family are all so friendly, kind and welcoming! I can’t wait to come back here.

So far, it's the best sushi place I've tried in San Diego! My favorite is Los Vegas roll, not fried!
The staff are always super friendly, we usually make special/ customized orders and they do their best to make it. Highly recommend this place, another favorite order is the Spanish roll!

Great food and service for the price! It’s an ordinary spot in a strip mall, so not exactly a top dine-in spot for me when it comes to atmosphere, but the food has been great for takeout over the years and reasonably priced.

Amazing atmosphere surrounded by the chefs interests and the food is absolutely phenomenal *spicy tuna and fried rice were my order. The service is top tier even when short staffed.

Had to pull into the parking lot due to car issues, and me and my grandparents and I were hungry, so we walked in.

The place itself is very nice and clean. The entire family was working together to make sure that the restaurant was running smoothly and the food tasted good. And to be honest, I loved seeing everyone work together as a family as my family runs a small business as well.

Now for the important part, the food! Oh my goodness, it was so good! And the prices were great too!

We just got sushi and the matcha cheese cake. The fish was fresh, and the sushi was definitely well made!

Spicy salmon roll 7/10
- great price! (6.50$)
- tastes great, wasn't spicy, but it did have a nice little kick to it (only one piece is in the photo LOL)

Mango Crunchy roll 9/10
- the mango melts amazingly with the fish and with all the other flavors
- it's absolutely delicious, one of the best sushi I've ever had!

Crunchy spicy tuna 8/10
- a great basic sushi! Great for anyone who wants to try something new but stay safe with the classic rolls! (In photo)

It was so delicious and the service is incredible. I'm speachless but, I thought it was delicious and incredible. I will totally come back with my family and friends. Everything is so yummy.

Amazing sushi! Have gone here for 3 yard straight and haven’t gotten old of the food. The fried rice is amazing! I get it most every time. The atmosphere is amazing as well, Deseray is always there and is very nice! Menus are very nice too, prices are a bit steep but worth the price and wait! Bathroom is a little hidden in the very back. Highly recommend the combo fried rice!

This is a cozy little sushi bar with decent pricing. The service is prompt and reliable. Its my go to for good sushi, reasonably priced.

Oh, and ask for the 'seared Salmon roll' by name. It is a house special roll. Not on the menu. And tell them I sent ya!

We ordered some sushi, fried tofu and salmon bento set. I didn't take a picture of garlic ramen we ordered because it's really disappointed, especially for the price. However, rolls were really good. Fried tofu was cripsy outside and really soft inside.

I have tried the Dragon Roll, the Sashimi, and the seaweed salad. I’ll describe the seaweed salad first. It tasted like I was eating a mouthful of freshly cut grass. I couldn’t taste any of the sesame oil flavor. Next, was the Sashimi (Sake). The texture of the fish was very gummy, but the flavor of the wasabi and soy sauce carried it through. Finally, the Dragon Roll. The texture of the shrimp was nice and crispy. Flavors were popping and delicious. However, the Krab (imitation crab) was subpar. It was disappointing.

Haven’t been here in a long time. This place is really amazing now, under the new ownership. The sushi and sashimi are high l grade, very fresh, not too much rice. Loved the udon noodles, too. And the menu variety is a plus. Will definitely come here again.
