It was really good but didn’t sit well in my stomach, had me feeling like I was going to throw up.

Came for breakfast/brunch at 11am on a Sunday. They had no creullers and no soy milk. They hadn't sold out for the day because we were the first table to order. You serve Chinese breakfast but don't have 2 of the most popular items? But despite that unwelcome surprise, the food was really good. If they improved the service and facility slightly, it would be easy to justify 5 stars. I recommend the spicy wontons, which were a perfect balance of sour and spicy. They are worth another visit.

Have been coming to A&Js for several years. Very delicious food. Tends to be very busy during normal lunch/dinner hours. Would recommend a little earlier or later to avoid waiting in line. Food comes out fast.

Don't expect high end decor but honestly who cares. The food is great.

People complain about parking but just park in the back of building, which most people don't know about.

If you're looking for Taiwanese beef noodle soup, this is the spot. The beef noodle broth has that smoky, complex depth that hits every note of nostalgia. The noodles are on the thicker side, but this is a good thing, adding to the heartiness of the dish. The decor is elegantly simple, some framed calligraphy up on the walls and dark hardwood chairs and tables, just like you would find in Taiwan.

Highly recommend the garlic cucumber, spicy wontons in hot red sauce and cold noodles (comes with shaved cucumber, ham, and thin slices of omelette to mix in).

The only miss for me was the century egg, because of the way it was served on top of smashed tofu (usually the silken tofu is served as a whole block), which changes the entire mouthfeel of the dish.

A must-visit for anyone curious about Taiwanese cuisine.

This is my favorite place to eat in orange county. Their home made noodles and fried chicken are so good.

Their Spicy beef tendon noodle soup is BOMB! And the wontons in spicy sauce are incredible and they have a small plate of beef tendon in garlic sauce - ridiculously yummy! Hits the spot and satisfies my craving perfectly! Thank you A&J! I had this restaurant for the first time a few days ago and had to come back for lunch today too, it’s just that good! (:

Been coming here since they opened in the late 90s. In fact some of the servers are still from the original crew. Service is efficient and food generally comes out pretty quick. It gets quite crowded around meal times so prepare to wait or come early. Highlights of the menu for me are the meat pie (餡餅) and fried chicken (paired with rice or noodle are both good).

Everything I ordered was delicious! 5-spice egg, thousand layer pancake, shredded pork and szechuan radish noodles soup, pickled mustard greens.all fantastic.

The preserved egg tofu has been mixed with saltiness, and the beef noodles and red oil tripe are delicious.

(2023) The beef soup is quite spicy and contains 4 pieces of meat. It is served in a small bowl. The beef tendon stir-fried with garlic is a hot dish, the stir-fried hands with red oil are slightly sour and spicy, and the grilled braised braised pork is good.

The food here is legit - they have a wonderful peanut sauce noodle dish that is incredible. It’s a vegetarian dish that I could eat every day.

Their beef noodle soup is great as well as their pan fried dumplings - not only are they huge but super tasty as well. Spicy cucumbers are actually spicy and their mustard greens are delicious.

We also got their spicy chili oil wontons which are good but not great. Everyone gets the beef roll when they come here but it doesn’t stand out to me.

Out all the dishes we tried here. The spicy wonton was the best one. The sauce is really good. It is very tangy, sweet, savory while also not being heavy. The wonton skin is silky smooth, does not fall apart easily, and the perfect delivery system for the sauce. The size of the wonton is small bite sized so would have to order at least order two servings if you are eating with four people. The spicy beef noodle soup and beef roll was good too. But I dont think the noodle soup is szechaun spicy.

I have tried this noodle few years ago. It tastes better this time. I will certainly try again soon.

I used to come here a long time ago, and maybe my tastebuds changed but the food here is plainer than what I remembered. The soup was OK and the scallion pancake was alright, but the food just wasn't something I would return to eat.

Been going here for over two decades now. Not much has changed other than the fact that they accept credit card now which is nice.

My go to is:
-spicy cucumbers
-spicy wontons
-pig ears
-spicy beef noodles with thin noodles
-minced pork rice
-sometimes sliced beef with spicy sauce
-chicken chop rice

I’d avoid their beef wrap as it isn’t good.
Been here at least 100 times and never misses. 10/10.

A must-try if you love Taiwanese beef noodles. Theirs is easily one of the best. Recommend the chicken chop noodle and stewed pork rice as well. Parking in this plaza during peak hours is a nightmare, so plan accordingly!

Went here with my Taiwanese girlfriend and she said it was very authentic. The food was so delicious. We got the beef wrap and beef noodle soup. I highly recommend.

The dumplings either seemed undercooked or were made with very red/pinkish meat. The potstickers were very tasty. Neither cane with dipping sauce though. Takeout order of two items took 25 minutes.
