At least $6 for a drink. I guess that's how it is now.

Matcha latte w strawberry heart shaped boba. It was actually heart shaped! Although they don't really fit up the straw. Matcha was fine, didn't skimp on it like some places do. The picture oversaturates how it looks.

I love their Taro Lover tea. I call it in whenever possible so it’s ready when I arrive. I get it with 50% sugar and it’s on point. Prices are competitive. My favorite boba tea in Davis.

I wasn't expecting to have the best strawberry smoothie ever from a relatively unknown cafe in Davis. I'm so upset I haven't been to this cafe earlier. They blend strawberry icecream into the smoothie which sounds like it wouldn't work but it does. It's like drinking liquid icecream. My favorite part is the frozen strawberry chunks. I'll be thinking about this smoothie.

Some of the items are too sweet for my liking but the milk tea with coffee (the league of legends) is a nice mix between coffee bitterness and the sweetness of milk tea. Overall, a nice experience with friends. Not much interaction with staff since orders are made through a tablet

I just went to Akira for the first time and it was a little disappointing. There was only 1 person making drinks and even though it wasn’t crazy busy, it took about 20 minutes to get my drink. That wasn’t really that big of a deal, but I didn’t realize until I got home that she’d forgotten the boba in my drink (which I paid extra for). The drink was good.the Sesame Black Knight… but overall the experience was sub-par. I rarely review restaurants, but given that they underemploy and stretch thin the employees they do have, and then they understandably make mistakes, it just seems like a waste of time and money to go here.

Poor service, multiple bad experiences. Very tired of this as the teas are very good when the employees can be bothered

They may indeed make a very good cup of coffee, or a latte or any other type of drink – too bad I’ll likely never know. The ordering process is cumbersome at best. Actually you cannot order in person - you have to do it through an in store touch screen kiosk and the kiosk then requires a phone number.
I asked the disembodied person visible through the floor to ceiling plexiglass surrounding the counter if I could skip the phone number, since I was literally standing right in front of her. She said, “I don’t think so”. I left.

There are so many drinks I wanted to try! Some are a hit, and some a miss. But its definitely worth exploring!
