I visited this location on Thousand Oaks Blvd.to purchase a subwoofer enclosure. I am a retired union worker and a home owner here in T. O.
The manager looked at me and flat out lied to me saying "It is illegal to sell used equipment" (it is illegal to represent used equipment as new but there is no law restricting selling used audio equipment in California) This was his answer when I pointed out a used enclosure I thought might fit my application. I saw his answer as an attempt to push me into spending additional money for something I was not looking for. The sales people are commissioned on sales. BTW. I found a gently used enclosure at another stereo store in town and am happy with my purchase.
Being lied to is an insult. For a retail store to flat out lie to a potental customer is shameful. This manager blemished this establishments reputation because every person I encounter asking about my motorcycles, boat or vehicles will hear how un trustworthy this manager is. He "managed" to make this franchise look shady and crooked.
There are several reputable stereo stores in the area so do yourself right and do not partonize this stereo shop. An apology from corporate will do nothing to change my opinion. Firing this manager is what is needed here.
Mr.manager, Shame on you for not looking out for customers.
