Alameda Nails reviews
9 The positives: Overall they did a good job. My nails looked nice - neat, with an even paint job, very professional looking.
The negatives: It was quite pricey - $70 to remove gel extensions + reg gel manicure + tip. She also cut a bit of my hyponychium (skin between the finger and the nail) which was super uncomfortable - which lasted for a few days. I wanted round (I wasn’t asked which shape I preferred) but after I was given square and after my finger was nicked I decided to go with it and not mess with her flow.
They prob do a great job for people getting gel on natural nails.
The woman that helped me was great and very thorough. She was kind and did a fantastic job with my nails. I highly recommend this salon.
If I could give 0 stars. I would. This has been the worse experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I booked two special pedicures and when I got there was told my friend could only get the pedicure but I had to get regular because there was no time and they were busy. It was 4 people in there and two were finishing up. I honestly felt discriminated due to me being plus size and them not wanting to do it. I told her that I did not understand and to just give me regular polish no gel. The lady then said okay fine I give you special like him and pointed to my friend. Then I knew she had time, just did not want to do mine. This was a horrible and humiliating experience. 10/10 DO NOT recommend.
So unprofessional as I walked in the 3 women that work there turned to look at me and just mug me so I say hi I have a appt @630 and just sit down it looked like if I was gonna go in there and asked them for money lol Wouldn’t come here again though had my appt @6: 30pm didn’t get attended till 6: 56 had my feet and only cold water till like 7: 15 the pedicure was rush no massage she just put lotion cut my nails still charged me 45$ because I got the gel. I felt bad for the lady because she kept apologizing, not to mention I left from there @7: 40pm there not organized at all with the clients. If the owner is reading this do better clients take there hard working money and they deserve to be pampered for what there paying for
My daughters had a good experience getting their nails done yesterday, however one daughter’s nail tech showed less attention to detail.
This is my favorite place to get my nails and toes done. They have fair pricing, are clean, and always provide a great service. They work pretty fast too. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure done in a little under an hour by one person. Definitely call to book an appointment, they do take walk-ins but are usually very busy, for good reason!
I always get a great pedicure here. Clean space, comfy massage chairs, sterilized equipment, and excellent staff. I would have to say that they don’t have the most color options for non-gel polish. I like painting my toenails crazy bright colors, of which they are lacking. I will not go to another nail salon in Alameda though because all my friends on the island agree - this is the best nail salon!
Mani & pedi
wished the gal did a better job with my cuticles.what was nice was I have an injured left hand and she was still able to work on it
Hi! I’m from France and I moved to Alameda, I was trying so hard to find a good nail artist that could do my nails the french way but she is litteraly the ONE! It’s a little bit expensive (but maybe it’s just my pov cause I’m not used to the US prices yet). She’s so kind and really delicate with nails and her work is awesome! I’ll come back for sure
