Alamo Rent A Car

My wife had a DR. Appointment in san jose she had to cancel because of these people. She reserved a car. Confirmed it twice with two different people that the car was ready and available. Once she got there to pick it up, suddenly no car. This place is unprofessional and has incompetent workers apparently

Booked a car at the Monterey airport office. Got tot he airport only to be told there were no cars available. I was then left stranded and took a cab back to my hotel lobby where I am now faced with being stuck here and unable to make the next leg of my trip. Thanks Alamo. You suck

Gentlemen at the desk were friendly and nice. However the car we received was in very poor condition and since they didn't have a lot of options apparently (strange for a Friday in my opinion) we were stuck with it. The outside had horrible water spots on the windows which means whoever "washed" it didn't properly dry it. Also the interior was very dirty, which was not acceptable considering the current pandemic and we had to give it a very thorough wipe down with our down disinfectant wipes (i.e. There was a leftover coffee lid and a wrapper in the car). Also our car was only had about 1/3 tank of gas which we were not told so we were not sure if this was documented on the rental. Honestly not one of my better Alamo rentals.

Excellent service from MRY airport at pick up. Car was clean, available, ready and with no damage. We dropped off in Newark, drove over 4000 miles, and everything with the rental was flawless.

If I could leave 0 stars I would! I am currently in the military and needed to get to SFO from Monterey. Not wanting to spend as much on an uber I chose to rent a car with Alamo considering the good history I have had with Alamo. It was a quick hour and a half trip getting me from point A to B, no problems. 5 days after renting the car I receive an email stating they are charging me with damage to the car regarding the sunroof stating it won't open or close. I rented the car at night. I never used the sunroof considering my flight was at midnight and it was pitch black outside.there was no need to use the sunroof! Now I am being told that they are going to charge me for this damage because I didn't check the sunroof to begin with. Assuming the sunroof is not working it is a manufacturer malfunction which is covered by the car's warranty, this should not fall upon the renter! On top of all of this, I was never told how much gas the car had and when I got in, it was nearly empty.what an inconvenience.

Alamo referred me to Enterprise Rental and they honored my reservation with Alamo. Service was good except when I returned the vehicle I left an item in there. They found the item but they returned an old item to me. My item was brand new. Someone switch my new item for an old one. Not happy at all!

Horrible communication. Promised us a set car and price and then weren’t even open when we got to the airport.

Alamo was closed, sign said to go to enterprise so I did. Young lady was very nice and polite, took care of me with a quickness and answered all my questions. Now theres Enterprise tonchoose from if Alamo is closed
