Alamo Rent A Car

1 person working the desk mid day on Saturday of memorial day weekend. Line is long and slow. Garbage.

I rented a car from this Alamo (FAT airport) from 4/15 - 4/22. The vehicle worked great and was very clean. Pick-up and drop-off was very easy. The employee at the Alamo counter on late Saturday evening (4/15) was friendly and got us along quickly. I would recommend using Alamo at this location and would use their services again if/when needed.

After all the hassle I experience flying it was really nice to have a clean car waiting right when I got off my flight! Keep up the good work Alamo!

We felt the whole experience went smoothly. Car was a Nissan Rogue. Check in and check out went flawlessly. That is extremely important when you're on vacation. Would definitely rent from them again when at Frenso airport.

When arriving at the airport to pick up the car we were accidentally charged a higher amount for the car but Stefanie who helped us was able to get it straighten out and we were on our way. She was so sweet and understanding. The people at Alamo are always pleasant and helpful and they will go out of their way to make things work for you. Alamo is always the most reasonable in car rentals.

Made the mistake of booking and prepaying and was not able to adjust my pick up time. Then they quoted me a wrong cancellation price when all I needed to do was adjust my pick up time. I called twice and got hung up on once. Will never be booking with Alamo. Lesson learned.

Initially the car rental went smoothly, with only a small problem with the car where the heat didn't work on the passenger side. My partner arrived in Fresno midway through my trip so we returned to the Alamo desk at the airport to add him as a driver, but they would not add him because he did not have credit card. He had a license, his own insurance, and a debit card and no where on the additional driver policy the publish on their website does it mention this requirement. Alamo already had my credit card info. We called their hotline as well but they were not willing to make any exceptions. We ended up returning the car and paid 1.5 times our original price for the remaining week to rent from Avis, who had no problem adding him as a driver. I will not be renting from Alamo again.

The pickup in Fresno and drop off in Monterey of our Chrysler Pacifica was the easiest and fastest I have ever encountered! Admittedly, I was fearful of a very long wait for any vehicle given all the current publicity of car rentals. The vehicle was in great shape and we had no problems. Thank-you Alamo! I will be a repeat customer.

Everything was great! Rental at the Fresno airport from Alamo couldn’t have been easier! Also easy to return. No complaints! And the little Nissan Kicks was in great shape and kept us cool and comfy for the entire lengthy travel days in it.

Update: After some correspondence with Alamo, they provided me with a credit on my bill. I appreciate their desire to make right my situation. Thank you for doing the right thing.

The check out and check in was easy, but I ended up paying $80 more for my rental even after shaving off a day at the time of check out. I wasn't thrilled that my price wasn't honored even if there was a mistake by the reservation system. I used the Costco travel website and have never had an issue before. Beware that you might not get the price you were quoted when you reserve online. The service at the desk was otherwise good.

Rent though enterprise instead. Alamo rep is not present and the send you to enterprise where only one person can attend you if you’re renting with Alamo. Long line and people have rent with enterprise get to go first.

Gave me and my family an unsafe car to drive and then I came back the next day to exchange it they gave me a car worse then the first one

THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE LOW FARE! Headaches before, during and after.

These scums charged me 3 months AFTER I turned in the car and claimed it was a young driver's fee that they just realized they forgot to charge me. My lawyer is going to have a field day!

Love going thru Alamo for my Car Rentals, clean cars, easy returns.just what I'm looking for!

I usually book my car rental reservations through Alamo at the Fresno Yosemite Airport, because they are cheaper than most car rental companies. My last experience was not good, because now they have a representative from enterprise car rentals handling Alamo car rentals customers, which I did not like because I was told that my reservation was booked through Alamo instead of enterprise. So they charged me more money for the car rental through enterprise since there rates are more. Please return back to the same customer service otherwise you will start to lose customers. Nobody wants to pay more money for the same vehicle through a different agency. Plus I rented the vehicle at 6: 38 P. M. P. M.and had to return it the following day at 5: 00 P. M. When I rent the vehicle through Alamo. They charge me for a 24 hour time frame plus they give me a 30 minute grace period. This makes me very angry.

I did not have a good experience. First no one at the counter, there was a note to go next door to enterprise. I was suppose to pick up my rental at 3pm but didn't get keys til almost 4. They did not have a car ready for me. The guy at the counter was not very friendly, his exact words were "it's not my fault people don't turn cars in on time. " I wished they would have offered some sort of discount or at least apologized.

Car windows dirty, streaks.
Car also could have used a wash.
Employees very courteous.
