Great mom and pop music store. They have affordable rentals. We rented our daughter's violin for a certain amount of time and they mailed us a final receipt saying we owned it! When she out grew it, they allowed us to do a trade and we paid the difference for the bigger/newer one. They could have easily said, oh well, but they didn't. Great service!
They offer lessons there as well.

Best place to go for service and support for musicians. Truly in it for the love of music and will encourage kids to explore the store without expecting an immediate sale.

Best Stock in Music Books, string and brass instruments.
Service is excellent, very kind and friendly, they don't give you pressure to buy.

Since 1987 Alans Music has served my family. I can't say enough about the guidance and care they have gifted my brother and I through our lifelong journey with music. Recently I called with a horn issue and Bob offered to take a quick peek and had me fixed within 45 minutes of the phone call. Thank you. You represent what La Mesa is all about.:)

There aren’t many music stores in the area and we’re lucky enough to have one of the best nearby. They do lessons upstairs and have a comprehensive shop that also does maintenance and repairs.
