Albertsons, Escondido CA

I used to LOVE going to Albertsons. Since the merger, it's gone down hill a little bit. Prices higher HOWEVER they still seem to care and take pride in what the offer and customer service than Vons. Their meat dept is great and very helpful. The deli was a typical grocery store deli. Ridiculous, angry employees and way too much for "meh" meats and cheeses. The front end employees are super nice though.

Well stocked and they always have the Planet Oat caramel oat milk creamer that my husband and I love.

Clean and faced aisles, easy to find all your needs. Staff can use a pep talk to brighten their days, I'm always greeted by the rudest Starbucks barista.older woman who's there every morning is just miserable no matter how dippy you try to make her. Deli is constantly unmanned and a lot of food is old/exp/stale.

Basically the same layout they do have a coated restroom by the Starbucks so for 3 bucks I can get a cup of coffee and warm my hands up or wash them off or whatever. I was beside myself when I read the bill $85 for two bags of food he'll be gone in 2 days.glad I kept my shovels and rakes. MGB fhsnk

Besides being 3x more expensive than their neighbors Aldi (not an exaggeration btw), they have the worst self checkout machines I've ever used. Not a single time has one worked properly and you see ppl having trouble ALL the time. Now, they don't even turn them all on lol. They keep 2 on and theres lines really long because no employees and no machines.

This Albertsons is a great place to shop! Although some of the prices may be a bit high, if you know what to get (check coupons and store ad), you can find some great deals. The deli and butcher sections are also excellent, they serve good quality meat and prepared food. The inside is always clean, and there is tons of inventory, so you are guaranteed to have many options.
The Starbucks inside is also very convenient for shopping! The staff are usually nice and helpful. I enjoy shopping here, and would highly recommend visiting.

Great place to shop, helpful employees, great deals and all discounts are subtracted automatically no need for a club card or join this or that for rewards which is nice

Albertsons has new phone app called just for u. Today it saved me about $25 on a $240 purchase. In store sales don't always show in app, take a few extra seconds to read the item tags for best savings. In store sales items saved me $70, for total savings of $95. Gotta report a few weeks ago, a shopper opened a fresh fried chicken package and ate some then just put container on another shelf. I pointed it out to a stock person and they removed it.

June 2022 update: . Just for U added curbside pickup. App is not easy to switch between pickup and instore purchase. Rewards do not register in pickup orders. No way to redeem hard copy coupons with pickup. Overall, still getting lots of reduced prices, important for retired folk.

Aug 2022 update: Most shoppers and employees are not wearing a mask, I do, as I am in remission from lymphoma. Still using Albertson app, today saved $68 on a $267 purchase. I post pics of sale items.

Store was nice and cool inside. I found everything I was looking for and I got out just as quickly as I walked in. Must have been a good time because I was not even a line. However I do think the policy that they carry along with Vons not being able to return something over $50 without a receipt is ridiculous! Things will sit on the Shelf at home or never being used and who's to say where the receipts have gone? I'm 55 years old I don't see too good and if my wife and I have not used an item and we want to return it we should be able to do so I think this policy needs to be changed!

Insultingly expensive. I mean, I get angry shopping there. I pick things up and go, "Are you kidding me"

Such a much better experience than other grocery stores around here by FAR! Much much better selection too. Most stuff I love from here I could never find at other stores and the employees are actually extremely nice here. Also I notice it's much cleaner/ put together. The dates on the food always good always way fresher

Albertsons is a good store and staff is friendly and helpful. They are way too expensive. I went to Stater Brothers and I couldn't believe the difference in prices. SB had everything I was looking for and much better prices.

They price meat too high and then don't sell all of it and then only mark it down 30% off and then throw a bunch away. Buy less or price lower. Jesus there were like 20+lbs of rockfish due to expire tonight. No good.
