Good tour. Unfortunately, lots of people in crowded line not wearing masks, same for masking on the boat where it is required.

Inside the prison mixed outcomes, including employees not wearing masks. ‍️

It's a good self guided tour. However I wish there was more back story to the history of the prison, rather than the "this is what you're looking at" information we were given. More history on some of the more famous inhamtes and which cells there were in would have been good, and more information on the escape. For those with sensitive noses, when it is nesting season for the local sea birds, it can get a bit wiffy, you have been warned!

Definitely a must visit if you're in the Bay. Loved it. Great historical information if you go for the guided tour. Great arrangements.

Great staff, definitely made the experience all the better. Even had one of the employees give us history lesson about the facility. Rich history and beautiful sights to see in and around the island.

The audio tour is well know for how good it is. The audio tells you directly where to walk and look as it describes the history of Alcatraz along with interview from prisoners and guards. The boat to the island is super quick too.

Very interesting place. Tour guides and docents provide excellent tours around the island. Plenty to do from audio guided tour of the cell blocks to walking around the island and bird watching. Lots of history. Wrap up warm can be cold if the wind is blowing from the ocean. Must book in advance.

We enjoyed our tour of Alcatraz. Very interesting, you go on a self-guided tour that is well done.

Horrendous customer service telling conflicting information with massive markup for required materials. Unprofessional. Oh well, not going to let it ruin my trip.

I was really expecting to be able to see more of the Facility, the Famous people that we're here make this place Famous.

Great tour, was first time going I enjoyed it very much and park rangers were very friendly and knowledgeable

Awesome service very organized. It was smooth sailing and they were very professional. Highly recommend.

Went with my daughter and mom in November 21 and was a great experience, it's a must. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes to walk because you'll be doing a lot of that, only negative was the excessive amount of flies that was in the exhibit in the back where the American Indian room was. Was disgusting and very distracting. If that's fixed it would be great! When in San Francisco it's a must do so do it!

Such a great experience, very educational and enlightening. Would recommend for anyone visiting the City, or even if you just live in the bay like we do.

Entire family enjoyed our visit. So much history. The self guided tour was great. Liked it was told by guards and prisoners. Gardens were so pretty and we enjoyed the bird watching.

Great visit, lots of good info I didn't know.
Beautiful views on all sides of the island. A lot of inclines, really good workout.
