Thank you for making first real date night since baby number two came so special. The food was amazing top to bottom and wines superbly curated. Can’t wait to return on our next trip to LA.

Had the displeasure of eating here. My server was phenomenal. The food was disgusting. I would have been better off going to in n out. I found a hair in one dish. The bathroom was filthy. Definitely not worth the prices they charge. Save your money

Worth it. Great environment as well as wonderful food. Gotta love a restaurant where the only signage is the letter “A. ” The masa gnoccho fritto were excellent, and the chocolate dessert was a standout.

Why don’t you just add employee paid benefit, retirement, work comp ins, paid leave, training and others to our bill at this point.

I actually was a guest at your restaurant with a couple of my friends a few months back. And the service we received back then was much better, but probably because you, Heather, was not our waitress. And one of my friends that I came with was Italian, and I’ve been to Italy enough times to know that the food at this restaurant is not even close to Italian, but it is so in the majority of Italian restaurants in the States, but I’ll admit that insulting it yesterday was a low blow and coming from hurt and was unnecessary, so I apologize for that and that comment is deleted. And yesterday yes, I was a doordash driver trying to help out my friend with some deliveries. Unfortunately, there’s no option in reviews to choose it, so I had to choose “pick up”. And you may see the situation differently, but that’s how I saw it go. I came to pick up an order, you told me it would be ready in 10 min and to wait outside. I sat at the door, wasn’t bothering anyone, but you insisted that I wait outside. I asked if I could wait inside the restaurant as I was gonna get chilly waiting that long outside, especially since there’s plenty of available seats and I would gladly give it up if any of the customers wanted to sit there, but once again you insisted that I wait outside, which I did. I wasn’t mean or rude to you, I just went out, I followed your “restaurant’s policy”, yet you went on and got me reassigned from the order without even telling me, so I waited outside for nothing. In the recent couple of weeks that I’ve been helping my friend, we’ve delivered from hundreds of restaurants, I’ve also worked at different restaurants, and I also currently work as a server at an Italian restaurant in Glendale, and never in my entire life did anyone ask me or I asked anyone to wait for the food outside, even during the pandemic, and never did I ever reassign anyone no matter how rude or impatient the drivers were cause they had to wait for their pick up for a long time, and trust me, I’ve encountered all kinds of doordash and ubereats drivers. I still got paid for it, but the thing is, a restaurant is in the industry of hospitality, it has to make people feel welcome, and one of the main parts of it is good service. You, Heather, however, don’t make people welcome at all. You had this negative vibe from the get go, and I don’t know why cause I don’t know you and what you had to go through in life. Like I mentioned before, I know that some drivers can be very impatient, but it’s not a reason to treat everybody that way. Regardless of how me and my friends felt about the food, I may have come back and brought even more friends with me and spread the word about the place cause I like the ambience and its location, but after this incident, I’d want to avoid it at all cost. I’m also not gonna pursue this any further, just wanted to let it out and let it go. I sincerely wish you all the best, Heather, and hope that life treats you much better than how you treat others.

No idea why the clowns in management think it's okay to foist their employees' health insurance onto the customer.

Everything was delicious! It’s a similar experience (in terms of food) to Rezdora in NY, where you have to order several dishes per person and share family style. We went on a Monday so it was pretty quiet, but the food came out super quickly, which was a plus. My husband and I ordered the tuna albacore (so incredibly delicious, so not miss this!) as an appetiser and we shared the crab spaghetti, tortellini brood and radiatori. All were amazing!

The food was (and is always) amazing! The staff were super accommodating to our family with small children. All natural wines and all the dishes are too good not to share!

ORIGINAL: fabulous food (and great value) - a neighbourhood favorite.

UPDATE: After showering Alimento with love and praise to everyone I know, I returned with four friends- 3 of us were on time, the fourth had to find parking. At 7: 15 (SHARP!) our 4th diner arrived and was told we had missed our table. I truly couldn’t believe it - especially after so much love we have to this place.

The food is great - the staff are entitled, rude and simply ridiculous. We will never return.

I should start by saying that I've been to Alimento several times and until my most recent trip, described it as one of my favorite restaurants - I've recommended it to numerous friends, etc. The food in fantastic and the servers are knowledgeable and friendly. However, on my most recent trip they overcharged me by over $500 (a situation that resulted in me being surprised to find a nearly empty bank account while in Joshua Tree). We called as soon as signal was available and while the person who answered the phone was apologetic, they said they couldn't process a refund and that they'd have a manager call us right away. We called again after 5 or 6 hours as we'd not received a call back and did need the money and were then told by a floor manager that they also couldn't process a refund but to expect a call that night from a general manager. I still have not received that call from a general manager.

Update: I did eventually receive a refund after around a week with no explanation. I'm still waiting on a call from the GM.

This is one of our favorite spots in the neighborhood! All the food is incredible! Pasta tastes like it does in Italy

A surprising little Italian spot in Silverlake! One of the best Italian places we've been to in LA. The menu is minimal and on point. Each dish felt carefully designed and the bites were absolutely perfect. We paired everything with unique orange wines. The servers were very knowledgeable and passionate which made the experience even better. Chicken liver crostone, Masa Gnocco Fritto, and Tortellini en Brodo are a must!

Yea, this place is great - it's small, cozy with delicious food so you gotta make reservations. We were there at 530 (when they open) on a rainy Monday and they were already packed. The service was top notch although it slowed down a little at the end but they were super busy. We had a few great dishes including the scallop crudo, tortellini en Brado (it's like a yellow soup dumpling) and carne cruda (tartare). The spaghetti with crab and yellowtail collar is ok. The bread pudding was good. Nice way to end the evening. Just so you know, plates are small.
