They got the job because they were 15% less than 2 other bids but it cost me way more than that to fix. In every case he used more expedient techniques at lower quality than other painters I have used. He did not address fixing nail holes in the wall. He said he didn't want to take mirrors down to paint the wall behind and when he did he placed 3 mirrors outside in the dirt. All were destroyed. One cracked in half in the sun one had spray on it that would not come off and one just had edge damage from sitting in rocks and dirt. He took doors off to spray them and the jams but applied a plastic piece to hold the doors up by drilling holes into the door sides which he tried to cover up with patch and paint but they are visible. This is damage. Not all doors were put back in original places because door handles don't match. Some trim was just missed and parts of some walls were missed. He stained some cabinets but used different products he did not sand thoroughly to get old finish off did not use a Pre stain so cabinets came out splotched and used a different varithane because it dried faster. He had overspray on closet tracks that were not covered. To be fair there was some damage to the walls but there were so many instances of just not doing the right things. I had to buy new mirrors needed to paint some trim the doors were damaged and I will need to redo the cabinets which are now way worse than they were. Hecis a nice fellow but I don't think his quality matches others I have used.
