Almost Home Doggie Day Care

Always very disappointing when a facility claims highly trained staff but will not accept unaltered dogs.

Our dog never wants to leave! I am so happy I found this place. There are a lot of doggie day care places in Sonoma county, but this one just feels different. My little pup has the best time here. All of the staff are so friendly and kind. No one ever seems stressed or worried. The people and dogs coming in and out are the same, super friendly, kind and neither dog nor human is stressed or amped up. That says so much! The dogs get a lot more human interaction here, and they seem to make sure that dogs are paired with the right group, not just for their size, but for their temperament. When I come to pick up my little girl she just wants to go back in for more fun. She always comes out tired and happy. We love you Almost Home! Thank you for what you do every day!

We trust Carla and the Almost home staff more than anyone with our girl Rio. We appreciate the love, safety and respect they have for our pup and would recommend them to anyone in the area!

The staff is caring and professional. The facility is clean, comfortable and an easy environment for the dogs.

They managed to traumatize my happy, well adjusted dog in ten minutes. The staff's belief in their own expertise bordered on arrogance. Communication was poor and my instructions were not followed. I do not recommend.

A small business, I am impressed with their priorities, caring for our dogs! I saw conscious attention to my dog's evaluation time, learning about him, what he was comfortable with and not. I am looking forward to using their services. Keep up the great work.

I know an employee so am familiar with all policies, safety measures & the care taken when screening new dogs. If I took my dogs to daycare, this would be it!

My dog Flyboy absolutely loves going to daycare. He is so much happier now that he gets to go there.

First day at doggie daycare and i notice i had two missed calls from them two hours after dropping off my dog.i immediately call back when realizing i missed the call due to bad reception in my area.staff member tells me i must immediately come back to pick up my dog because she has “kennel cough? ! ” WTH? My dog is young and she has never been around any other dogs, ever! Until this day! (and her evaluation). Apparently they called my son (when they couldn’t get ahold of me) asking him to drive up to pick her up and that it was an emergency (he lives 3 hours away) i don’t have anyone else in my life who could pick her up! I stopped what i was doing to go pick her up and a staff member tells me one of the other dogs as kennel cough.during my observation: my dog DID NOT have kennel cough! She’s been with me for 9 hours now and not ONE SINGLE peep from her? ! WHY would your staff member tell me she had kennel cough? ! Freak me out and make me drive frantically across town just to find out she is completely fine? ! I’m really disappointed in the unprofessional staff.i don’t even understand why i would have to even pay for the 2 hours, just to be lied to? Oh well.live and learn i guess.no more doggie daycare for this pup if this is how the business is ran

We are giving this rating on behalf of our dogs. We went on vacation over the holidays with our 2 dogs, had contacted the daycare prior to coming up - to try and make sure everything went smoothly, and of course on our end it didn't. But they were incredibly patient and understanding with us. There is a 2 hour trial period to determine if your dog is a good fit and gets along well with everyone, beyond that, you pay. They are affordable and all of the staff is beyond nice.
Our little guys had no problems leaving or coming back, which says a lot as one of our dogs HATES being alone and the other refuses to enter buildings associated with unpleasant experiences.
