Alpine Recreation Center reviews
14The rec center doesn't have a lot of green space or a play field but whatever it has looks well maintained.
This recreation park has many families from different background ethnicities visiting. Someone posted a review that the park is racist. There is no racism whatsoever. Staff is present. There is a large outdoor basketball court and a playground for children. An ice cream truck is parked out front, so be make sure to bring cash if you’d like a cool treat.
This park is racist. The people there probably don't leave the neighborhood. You're not born a racist, your taught to be one and those children are definitely being taught. I went to this park 3 days in a row hoping for different results and definitely did not receive that. A woman of a different called had the police called on her and I felt like I needed to to speak on her behalf as well because they were being prejudice. The park is beautiful but the regulars think they own the place which isn't worth confrontation. I don't recommend this park to anyone out this neighborhood.
This park had an amazing view. Our group of 5 walked through the park and felt very safe and relaxed. Everyone was just laying around, playing with their doors, kids were skating in the park. We saw people having picnics with wine and would gladly come back to join in that trend. A great little pit stop.
A small park like no other. Steps from residential dwellings and shops, and land mark restaurant in LA. Sorry no W. C available here some take it where no one sees while you hydrate park vegetations. I am in process of requesting or demand a portable outside W. C (restroom) and wash station. If you agreed plz band together and make Alpine park a.better.healthier place for All that come enjoy the park young or old. Public right and Decency shall remain standard at Alpine Park N in the community.any committee.
Very nice and well-maintained place.
The best time to visit is probably in the morning. Less crowded and much easier to find parking spaces.
Nearby area is good too. There are a bunch of good restaurants and coffee shops.
A good place to bring your dogs too. But you have to keep watch them since there are some food people drop on the ground.
It's a school that has an open playground. I came here and ate lunch. Enough shade on the grass. It's a popular spot with locals and their families. Some homeless folks wander through it on occasion.
A good small playground, & community center for the locals. They NEED a public parking garage for gatherings and events.
My children love this park! It's very nice. Since covid-19 there aren't any public restrooms. Overall nice place to take children.
It okay and nice not crowded that what I like the most about parks drama free and relaxing
Accessibility from all sides to the park.friendly people.excellent for dog lover.fun and short walk to many businesses in Chinatown and lots of Public Transportation.
I went to walk the park with My Wife & fam, saw the length of the park & made a business decision. Did a workout @ the basketball court, stretched, resistance bands, light weights! Felt GREAT the next day.
A lot of the elderly like to come here and smoke. There’s homeless residing in the park. It’s small and not much space.
Inside is closed to the public as it has been transformed into an Alternative Learning Center for kids.
