Took my pup here around Feburary for his first ever visit after bringing him home. I was told by the breeders that since this was my first dog, the vet would give me a little basic information on pet care, but he didn't.he just gave me a pamphlet. (I'd already done extensive research on owning a puppy for the first time so it's not like i needed the education). He didnt even advise me not to let my 3 month old puppy around other dogs if he hasn't finished his vaccines yet.

When the vet walked into the room, the first thing he asked me was "what kind of breed is this? " it was a little concerning to me that he didn't recognize a corgi (I feel like they have pretty distinguishing features). On top of that after I said "he's a pembroke welsh corgi" he kept saying "what's that? " I was really shocked to be honest.

I had already pre-paid for all of his vaccines so the only reason i kept all of the follow ups was to finish all of his vaccines. He also gave me medication and charged me for it without asking if I wanted to purchase it? It was just medication to keep my pup's ears clean. Definitely could have done without it or would have liked if he asked if I wanted to take it.

Another thing that i noticed was that they were still using a paper system (paper charts, booking appointments using a planner/ calendar of some sort). When i had called and asked for my pup's medical records and itemized receipt for his first visit, they rewrote the receipt in front of me because they didn't have the initial one?

I took my rabbits buddy and clyde here 1 1/2 years ago to get fixed, buddy made a full recovery but clyde did not. His leg was paralyzed from the dr incorrectly administering the sedative for surgery, which resulted in him dragging the leg and eventually chewing on it. The whole time the dr told me it's fine it will heal up, and specifically told me x rays don't get done for rabbits. He kept selling me pain meds and antibiotics for clyde telling me it's all that can be done. I took him to Avian & Exotics in del ray oaks and the first thing we did was an x ray, at which point I was told the only option was to have his leg amputated due to the damage from the injection, and the "care" we received from alta. I had to fight with alta for months to receive reimbursement from fixing the mistakes made by the vet here. They tried to tell me because of the waiver I signed there was nothing I could do about it, but I was never told my rabbit could be paralyzed from the injection (which was administered incorrectly) only that sometimes rabbits don't wake up. Once I mentioned lawsuits and insurance claims the vet was willing to work out reimbursement, but if I wasn't willing to stand up for myself I 100% would have been taken advantage of. Do not bring your exotics here if you care for them, I recommend Avian and exotics in del ray oaks. It's a 3 hour drive but its 100% worth it, it's better prices, better employees and a better experience in every aspect. I also still have the receipts if alta tries to deny any of this. Do not take your exotics here, they are not knowledgeable at all in treating rabbits

Great Doctor and good prices! I neutered my 3 rabbits here and prices were reasonable. Another vet wanted to charge me over $600 minimum! Dr. Sran is very passionate about his job and I can tell he cares about his patients. Highly recommend this vet if you have any exotic animals.

Do NOT bring your bunny/rabbit here. I needed an emergency vet, and unfortunately, the vet hospital I normally take my bunny to was closed, so I had no choice but to bring him here. Everything seemed fine until he was called in. At my usual vet hospital, I am always asked to take my bunny out of his carrier. At this place, the vet tech decided to take him out, but instead of picking him up correctly (one hand under the chest and the other hand under the bottom), the vet tech picked my baby up BY THE SKIN OF HIS NECK. This is EXTREMELY dangerous for bunnies/rabbits, and it can cause permanent damage. I freaked out and told the vet tech to be careful. For the rest of the appointment, the vet tech held onto my bunny, but he was not gentle at all. Thankfully, my bunny was not injured by this careless, incompetent vet tech, but ever since then, I have regretted taking him here and not taking serious action against that vet tech. I wish I knew his name (vet tech was a young male), but please, for your bunny's sake, do not take the risk of coming here.

My heart hurts every time I think about what happened. If I could, I would give this place negative stars.

Great experience. Not a long wait with a scheduled appointment vet was fast and precise. Helped me with my elderly cat.

If I could give less stars I would. Took my dog in to get Spayed and they then giving the option for anesthesia (there is a fee for it) and charge extra for pain medication, even after the spay by its self is already 400. Next when I picked up my dog, they sent me home with out a cone or even offered one to me, so on the drive home, my dog is licking her wound and I noticed how poorly the stitches were (too far apart). So because they didn't provide a cone after spending over 500 dollars, I have to buy one, i went to petco and they don't have one that is the correct size. Now because of their lack of care and awareness, my dog has an infection on the incision. In conclusion, I will not be taking another animal to this vet. In fact I recommend to anyone, if you love your pet don't take them here.

The Dr. And his staff are amazing, I just went there for my first time this last week so glad I changed Vet's. Very pleased was going to Abbys they are way out of control with there prices And they keep raising them.

Friendly enough people, perhaps a bit of overbooking? But convenient after work hours makes up for it.

They lie on the phone about prices, as soon as you fill out the paperwork they start adding fees, do not recommend this place DISGUSTING VEGETARIAN wants to charge for pain medication and is ok if you don't want it THE VEGETARIAN IS A TRUE DEVIL

Showed up with our dog who was in pain for not being able to pee. Got told by the receptionist that “the doctor doesn’t deal with your breed because they are known to have issues” after waiting over 2 hours for the appointment. Poor doc is scared of a Dalmatian. So if your breed is known to have “issues” (whatever the hell that is) don’t bother wasting your time.

My cat sadly passed but prior to her passing alta took care of her and my 2 other cats. They were kind and compassionate when my cat died and did everything in their power to save her

This is just to say that they DO NOT take all exotic animals. All I know is that they do not take reptiles, is what I was told.
