Alta Plaza Park reviews
15Beautiful place to and just relax or for the kids to have fun and play on on the play structure or even tennis they even have restrooms benches
Great city and bay views, nice to walk around and an off-leash area for dogs on south side.
Really awesome plaza/park. There are multiple tennis courts and a basketball court. The views are amazing. The images I took were on a foggy day, but on a clear sunny day the views are even better. The many food spots nearby make the plaza a great spot to picnic and hangout. Furthermore, there are public restrooms and even a playground for kids to play on. Overall, just one of many of SF's great parks.
So peaceful and great view! Safe playground for the kids, it has tennis and basketball courts. Restrooms are clean for the most part, water dispenser available. Plants are beautiful and well maintained too.
Nice park and cool breeze of ocean which is close to this park. Good view of ocean from street space.
Lovely lovely park with wonderful views:) will absolutely be back to take advantage of this beautiful spot for a picnic:) walked up from the marina area, and couldn’t have been more delighted with this park:)
A stunning view of San Francisco Bay with the Golden Bridge and Alcatraz Prison, suitable for children with special playgrounds
A fantastic, clean, safe, green, and beautiful park with an excellent view of the City of San Francisco, California.
The park has benches, steps to climb, a tennis court, and an excellent view of the city.
Charlie loves this place, during the day there are a few dog walkers with well behaved dogs which play together. We have never ran into an aggressive dog there. Also it’s a great place for a picnic. The only downside is the wind! Stay away from this park on Cold days if you have sinus issues!
This is the best neighborhood park! I live quite near and often walk through it. It's only a short distance from Fillmore, so there are lots of places to get coffee or lunch for a park picnic. It's on a hill with many levels and great wide views. You can pick the view you like best (like those Choose Your Own Adventure books, remember?). I like the benches that face north, where I can see the bay and cargo ships passing by.
The park has a lot to give, like tennis courts, a basketball court, a playground, stairs for exercising, many benches, views, and lots of green areas. In spring, the north part is covered with tiny daisies and in early to mid-February, there are some plum blossom trees that bloom. They look a lot like cherry blossom trees, but they're different and bloom earlier. They are very pretty and colorful.
This is a wonderful park that has something for everyone.
I’m a huge fan of SF parks - and Alta Plaza Park would be on my very short list of top parks. It has the most beautiful view of the Sutro tower as well as the magical view of the Bay. Amazing sunset and fog views. The park is super close to the Fillmore street, which has pretty good coffee and food options. Perfect for stroll in this park before/after brunch?
Nice park with great views. I like some of the other parks with more enclosed dog areas better, but it's a dog friendly park. The "designated" area for dogs is meaningless as it's pretty much a free-for-all with more off-leash dogs in other areas. I don't know the sprinkler schedule, but it seems that some section of it is always wet.
A good place to experience gale force winds and contemplate whether you want to hold hands with a romantic interest.
It has a really good city view. It is a good place to have a lunch with friends outside on a nice day. However, the number of seats and tables is very limited. I don't care about the playground, but it is convenient that it has a bathroom.
Solid city park with a great view of downtown. I didn't encounter any transients here while visiting. A park will keep kids enteré, the lengthy walkways and grassy areas are perfect for dog walking, and the trees will keep you cool on those sunny days. Parking is on the street.
