Altar Society Brewing Co. reviews
11Great coffee, slightly pricey after a normal tip it was around $16 for a cappuccino and flat white but great product.
Went for the first time. We give every new downtown restaurant a try. The bartender was very nice and service was fast. With that being said, we were basically the only ones in the place. Had a nice beer. Ordered chicken tenders. The meat was very tender and moist but the breading falls off. The onion rings were very thin and lots of fragments in the basket. Fried cauliflower was ok, never finished them though. I know you're new and all so we'll wait a while before we return to give you another try.
Amazing and chill spot! The place is so pretty, the staff is friendly, and the brews are top notch! It’s a great place to kick back, relax, and enjoy amazing brews and pizza! Will definitely come back!
The building is stunning, which is a perfect pairing with your pizza and beer. The two slices of pizza and beer hit the spot. I was interested in the architecture so I asked the server about it and they happily shared the history of the 1903 building that was converted to a really cool brewery. The service was outstanding, and I will be back for sure. Thank you Sam and Tanner for the outstanding service.
I also found out they serve coffee in the morning and I can’t wait to try it out and share my experience.
Altar society is good for what it is. Expansive beer Hall with separate booths for pizza, burgers, all things fried, cocktail bar, and a coffee bar.
Burgers and fries are typical bar quality, the tater tots are a highlight for being crispy on the outside, but moist inside.
Oddly, the thing that didn't stand out is the beer. We tried the coffee stout and the Nutella ale, both are ok, but they weren't noteworthy either.
Great to see the old Masonic space put to good use.solid brews, great pizza crust, and coffee in the morning.winner, winner, chicken dinner!
Beautiful and spacious new Brewery on Pine Ave, downtown Long Beach. Delicious house-made beer (we love the west coast IPA), thin and crispy pizza, fully stocked cafe, event space and more. Pretty impressive all around, plus the staff has been super friendly! We look forward to coming here for a long time.
New place, I understand that there are things to sort out. With that said, food poisoning shouldn't have been one of them. We ordered the sausage and pepperoni pizza along with a side of wings. My wife commented on the vegetables (carrots and celery) that came with the wings having been "soft". That night, she was the sickest I'd seen her in the 15 years we have known each other. The beer was underwhelming, but they carry a full bar. Not a great rollout Altar society.
This place is awesome! The building has a lot of character and there is plenty of seating. We came with a large group and sat immediately. The staff was super friendly and fast. They have a great selection of beer and the food was really good too! We will definitely be coming back here regularly.
This brand new Beer Brewery in DTLB is super chill. They have everything from fresh Lagers, IPAs, Double IPAs, Stouts, and Seltzers. During the soft opening last week they had really tasty sliders, pulled pork sandwiches, wings, buffalo cauliflower, pizza, and chicken tenders. Customer service is very attentive with awesome hospitality. The owners graduated from Wilson High School in Long Beach back in the day so you can tell they really care about this city and all of this City's diverse community. I highly recommend you check them out for their GRAND OPENING this weekend Oct 6th-8th!
Such a beautiful historic building and their beer was amazing. I had the Tango haze but sampled a few others. Excited to try their coffee when they reopen on Thursday, I was told they roast their own beans!
