Altasciences Clinical Facility

Japanese clinical trials lack credibility of data because the participants are people who live in the U. S.and don't maintain a Japanese lifestyle.

If your looking to do studies Alta science has to be your 1st choice you have friendly staff and laid back invoirment

Absolutely incredible experience I spent 8 days here in paient. The staff are top notch especially cathy and ana.all of my opv visits have been easy and painless.the food and care are also excellent i have done studies for over 6 years but finally got in with Alta they are absolutely next level in care and comfort Thank you sincerely Emmit McCurry.

I began participating in clinical trials at Altasciences (formerly known as WCCT) nearly a decade ago. Not much has changed over the years. It's a decent enough facility. Not the most luxurious out there, but it's kept clean and most (not all) of the staff tend to be caring and professional. One person that stands out on the positive side is Sheneek. Over the last 10+ years that I've been coming here, she has consistently been the person I look most forward to seeing. I don't know her specific job title as she seems to do most everything there but no matter what station she's handling on any given day, she's always friendly and efficient.

The food is okay. Very hospital-like cuisine. The provided wifi is spotty at best.
They do a great job of keeping toiletries and towels stocked for participants, though.
It's a pleasant enough facility overall.

This place is really organized and good for stay in. I like the play room it’s big and have variety of interesting things to do. Also it high competition to get in. Over all, I like this place.

If your in need of extra cash or think your doing something good, look somewhere else. These clinical trial places couldn't care less about the participants. The location is dirty, they have a whole bunch of participants in 1 small area, showers are falling apart and barely work, most staff are unprofessional and trashy, they keep bathrooms locked but give people attitude when they need to use, once you check out they give you the run around when it comes time for payment. They kick you out in the middle of the night and give no reason. The other clinical trails are the same, I have been here once and would never go again, nor any other place. There are better ways to get cash and better ways to help. If I'm doing something good I damn well better be respected and treated properly. This place deserves no stars.

Very nice facility. Staff are professional and kind. Food is fresh and abundant. Hope to return for future studies.

Coca, Li and the recruitment team were very professional and helpful, great altitudes. The health team took good care of me and everything went smoothly, if you want do clinical study definitely give altascience a try:)

Altasciences "formely known as WCCT" has given me four unique opportunities to participate in clinical trials over the course of the last three years.
I am forever grateful to have had the experiences and to have been able to volunteer for those clinical trials.
The staff are all professional and full of high moral.

One of the benefits is that when your enrolled in a trial, you will receive routine screenings that will help you to monitor your own personal health. Which really helped me.

And all the check in periods that I had previously spent at the facility in Cypress have been positive experiences.
There can even sometimes be a fun summer camp type of atmosphere between the scheduled procedures where you can mingled with all types of other volunteers and a few staff members too.

However the screening processes don't guarantee that you will qualify for any particular clinical trial, so it can feel like your trying out for a reality show. I myself have been ineligible for three previous studies and was even sent home after only spending one night into the check in.
So that is the only real con that I can think of, but you must be aware of the restrictions when you become a volunteer for any clinical trial.
That is just the nature of that industry, there are strict guidelines that Altasciences is required to follow and every procedure is carried out on military time.
You need to be on top of things and willing to work with the staff.
Other than that, it is an all inclusive paid vacation in Cypress CA.

Altasciences is a great facility and the atmosphere is very relaxing for Volunteers. They have a variety of games and entertainment choices! I had a great experience and will always refer family and friends.

Altasciences is great, just make sure you don't eat any everything bagels with poppy seeds before you go, whoopsadaisy! Haha. The Seinfeld episode where Elaine tests positive for opiates from poppy seeds is true! Suspended for a year or whatever for eating delicious bagels.

Otherwise the staff is quite friendly, the food is good, and the payments come through, and I would recommend to anyone:)

Most of the nurses are professional, but when it comes to specific people like Hector, he is very unprofessional.it is not his job to tell patience information about other patients information. He comes off like a bully and tries to intimidate people with his lack of emotion. It's funny that we put ourselves through so much through medication and side effects and they treat this facility like it's a prison ward. Most of the nurses in their young, but the older nurses seem very bitter. Kathy is another woman who is very unprofessional and very mean spirited. The fakeness is what you get at Alta sciences. They don't care about you. They're there to collect the check. I will never recommend AltaSciences to anyone of my friends.

So far I've been to one study and it went great. The study was straight forward and I got paid on time. Nothing to really complain about especially since we're getting paid to chill there and getting paid well.

If you are going to do a clinical study than I would highly recommend Altasciences.
These super nice and friendly staff members are on their 'A' game all the time. They are the BEST at what they do and you as a volunteer will never be disappointed.
They are the friendliest and most helpful people there and it's just a overall great experience doing a study with them
Also the food is EXCELLENT.
I did a 17 days overnight study and never had a bad meal the whole time I was there.
And they have a lot of things to do there to keep yourself occupied during your stay.
You will feel like your on a vacation and they pay you on top of it.

I have participated in two trials at Alta Sciences and I am very happy to say that the experience was very rewarding and fulfilling. Staff is very hospitable and doctors are there round the clock. It’s not like being in a facility at all. It’s kind of like being on a vacation and your needs are met and you are well taken care of throughout the study.

I did a study here for cancer and now 10 years plus, I have lumps all under my skin, I think its cancer and I’m scared becthe study I did was for cancer. I’m going to need you guys to help me medically like you promised in the paperwork I signed.

I have been waiting for over 30 days to get paid they just don't care, long waits doesn't make sense try another place. They got a new rude receptionist be careful. Still a sorry place for studies. Not a good still long waiting for payment

I wanted to volunteer for these studies and unfortunately management won’t allow me to do any study now. It was going to be my first study, I was asked multiple questions and the manager couldn't assist me and literally because of my questions, I was denied access to all future trials. I waited almost a year and to this day I’m not allowed to participate because the manager’s notes. The unprofessional staff is also a major concern.

Things to know:
- clincards: they are starting to give out clincards to fix the check delays. Pretty awesome. A different study had cards and were paid right away, mine still had checks.
The leadership and Atla are doing a great job with changes.

- better food! Loved the catering yummy.
- New showers in the newly built back room.
- New beds no more wood.
- New laundry machine in the back.
- A lot of new workers and fired alot of older workers.
- More free products.
- New ping pong, movie room, poker table, etc.

They’re not magicians they cant fix old plumbing. Alta built new showers in the back. Go walk back there and use them. I’ve witness volunteers being rude and mistaking kindness from nurses as an excuse to take advantage of them. I’ve seen people talk back to the workers, and try and get in their face. The workers try to make jokes and be kind, but sometimes people are born with no manners. This is a business not your family home. Some people don’t know the difference.

My experience with Alta so far has been professional. Don’t get in their face and expect special treatment. Don’t be a child and I’m sure you won’t have a problem. Act like that at home with your parents, spouse or whatever. As much as we are volunteers this is a job. And if you don’t want their money, they have a lot of other new healthy patients that do.

After COVID hit this place and this opportunity really was a life saver for my friends and family.

It’s a great place if you respect them, they will respect you back. To everyone else, get over yourself.
