Ameer Almullahassani, MD reviews
2 It was a couple of years ago when I saw Dr Almullahassani and I didn’t know much about phone ratings then. But I want to make up for that. I cannot say that I am always a very happy patient when visiting a new Dr. I do not particularly like going to the Dr.in most cases. It always seems rushed, and in many cases I feel like just another mundane moment in a Drs day. A little bit like trying to get that last bite of lunch in before the alarm goes off.
But this was different. The Dr was very thorough as others have mentioned but as important was how very informed and comfortable he kept myself as a patient feeling. I felt I was in good hands and my situation was being looked into honestly and communicated openly. I never felt left out of the loop or my need to understand anything further a waste of his time. This is a good Dr with good interpersonal/Dr-patient skills that build confidence and trust in his patients. I highly recommend Dr Ameer Almullahassani.
I went to North Bay Neuro for a nerve conduction test without having met any of the doctors previously. I only spoke with Dr. Almullahassani briefly when he conducted the needle part of the test and gave me a quick synopsis of the whole test. He was very friendly and personable, easy-going, tries to be lighthearted and humorous, and answered my questions. I am often judged due to my size and I didn’t get that dismissive vibe from him at all. While he seemed he was in a hurry to move on and he would be putting his efforts into a report for my PCP, I didn’t feel slighted because his behavior and words seemed to say that while busy, he truly meant it when he offered to answer questions.
