Never come to this place. Google takes down most of the negative reviews that have been left on this poor excuse as a business. The owner highballs you but makes discounts until you like it and she makes sure to harass you to buy her insanely priced items. I wanted to buy a soap then she tells me it’s fifty dollars. I turn down the offer and try to leave but she keeps giving discounts until we’re at five dollars. She will probably get angry if u leave the store and she may be the one deleting the reviews lol. Sandy, this is the USA, stop harassing people to buy ur stuff, not everyone is gonna buy ur uncharged stuff, leave us alone. Google better not take this down.

This place is still here for some reason. Unfortunately the store owner has only gotten worse according to newer reviews, which I believe. Anyone who gives this place a good rating is lying and most likely sandy herself. Can’t wait for the day this shop gets shut down. Skip this place as she is going to mess with you. She even takes advantage of tourists from other countries which is disgusting and wicked.

Only giving a review because of how terrible this shop is. Would give this shop a zero star rating, but that’s not possible, so I give it a one. She kept offering me a bunch of her items, so I caved in and bought a soap. I said why the heck not! A soap shouldn’t cost me more than 5 dollars right? ! Huge mistake. Got charged $30 instead. Don’t make the same mistake as me or others. This is a warning. STAY AWAY!

Trickery at the best. Charged 2x the price for the soaps and lotions we purchased. Stay away from this shop. Asked to pay in cash. Pretty sure she is not reporting sales to the state to avoid paying taxes. Stay away.

Terrible. Don’t go here, extremely overpriced and was extremely rude if you don’t buy her overpriced things, and interfered with looking at items as if she was following you!

This is a very cute store with lots of souvenirs and beautiful scarves, handbags, cosmetic products and toys. The owner Sandy is very friendly. We are so glad we found this jewel in Carmel by the sea!

Don't buy anything from here unless you haggle at least 50% off of the price. Can confirm the other reviews citing scammy practices. Mention that whatever you're looking at is too expensive and let the owner know that you'll go elsewhere to find what you're looking for. Either way, you're probably best off not buying anything from here.

Don’t EVER step into the store if you’re here in Carmel. I thought we were taken advantage of because we are fellow Taiwanese and it turned out we were not the only ones given the reviews I read on here. The owner will go out of her way to scam you into buying her over-priced soap products and won’t let you out of the store if you don’t purchase one!

Scam artist supreme! The owner sure knows how to schmooze you and then overcharge you. Credit card "fee" is tacked on without notice. When asked, she replies that the credit card company "charges me 4%" which is a lie. [It's more like 2-3%] She proceeds to add 10% to the bill! Outrageous.

The owner overcharged my $10 gift card by $2. This after taking into account taxes. She conveniently did not give me a receipt. Buyer beware.
